He pissed past Gvardiol on that occasion.
It's annoying to see that he had the beating of him yet we didn't try that until late on.
The through ball opportunities are there so we should be testing CH's with his pace early on in the game.
One misplaced pass against Villa still led to a goal because they couldn’t handle Haaland’s pace.

Another hopeful ball forwards against Arsenal led to a penalty, obviously chalked off, because they couldn’t handle Haaland running at them.

Tonight Haaland trotted past Gvardiol when chasing the only ball played to him.

The balls don’t have to be 100%, he only needs half a chance and he causes havoc, but we refuse to pass it to him.

We must practice not passing to him in training.

Haaland's presence makes us slower and more predictable in our attacking play and worse at pressing and corralling the opposition in our defensive play.

Would like to see Alvarez given a run of starts.
He’s not fully ready. Always wants more touches than he’ll be afforded in the European game but I’m fully confident he’ll be ready for next season.

And like Pep said, we play predictable because of the processes and some players holding on to the ball far too long and then making useless passes. Mahrez was fuming with Rodri’s lethargy today but Mahrez isn’t one to talk

felt sorry for him tonight, he makes a lot of good runs and nobody gets their head up to see them. It’s clearly frustrating him.

It’s strange because he scored a lot of goals for us already, so obviously we can create chances for him but then at times like tonight and recently, we just seem unable to do it.

It’s almost like the players have had this very short, passing possession game drilled into them for years that it’s like a muscle memory where they don’t look up or too far ahead and just look for the nearest pass available. That’s why you always see the likes of Bernardo and Gündoğan, never getting their head up to see him make runs.

People say we are not as good a team with him, but I think that’s bullshit because if you took away his goals, I think we might struggle badly this season , when you consider the form of the other players. Him being at our club isn’t the reason why some of our players look half fit and not at their usual standards. He’s been one of the only players that maintained high standard for most of the season. He’s not the reason that Bernado wants a dozen touched before making a pass, he’s not the reason KDB plays like he has his boots on the wrong feet in 50% of the games he plays at the moment.

Haaland does his job. If the others played at their usual standards, we would be flying

For ten minutes against Bournemouth I want to see the team do nothing but play balls to Erling. Early crosses, one touch intricate stuff in the midfield, through balls from Akanji, route one from Ederson, I don't care. I don't even care if we lose possession more than not. Just ten minutes of nothing but "get ball, look up, pass to Haaland", lather rinse repeat.

I'll bet we bag a goal off it.

We need to get rid of the entire team except Haaland.

2 years of False 9 has made them brain dead to a striker's movements like Aguero!

At the start of the season.. we were shouting at Foden to square it.. now its the entire team!

And Pep is fucking saying it himself.. WE NEED TO FIND HAALAND!

Has he exceeded my expectations? Yes.

Did I say that he wasn't a good fit for us stylistically? Yes.

No need for drastic measures

We are literally playing to his weaknesses and NONE of his strengths. I thoroughly blame pep.
He was never going to shine in a game with 80% possession against a team that has parked the bus.

He'll shine against better teams, that dare to attack.

Watched the game with the mute button on , but my son stated BT mus thave mentioned during and after the game the pundits and commentators mentioned how angry Haaland was about twenty times , i was watching the game and avoided the BT brainwashing , he was frustrated a couple of times like many strikers are frustrated when they dont recieve the ball , but no different than Kane , Mbappe , Salah and other top class stikers , when the same happens to them.
But if a lie is told often enough it sometimes becomes fact , it certainly does with the UK sports media.
The commentators actually expressed their sympathy several times, and on multiple occasions pointed out runs that Haaland did and, quote, "being ignored by his team mates". They mentioned numerous times that he was clearly getting frustrated, and quote, "rightly so".

Yes the team should try to connect with him better.

But you cannot ignore that the whole team was under huge pressure today and everyone was playing very hard.

I feel unfair for the rest of the team to be blamed so harshly. I don't think that they have an easy game. And when they were under attack with a lot of pressure, Halaand was not really able to release the pressure. Not his fault but I don't think that he should blame the others. It is just difficult. You see Bernado and Grealish being surrounded by so many opposite players. Gundo and Mahrez leg gone. Walker and Ake under lots of attack. Rodri flighting everywhere. Maybe they are not specialist as Kevin to put a through ball. It is not something they can magically improve overnight. To be fair, Grealish made one through ball in the 2nd half. But can you drop a bit deep to help them a bit, when seeing Bernado was attacked by 3-4 players?

We scored 0 and 1 goal in the two CL knockout away games last season (I don't count Lisbon in because that team was too weak). It will always be tough to play away games.

I don't like him naming Rodri and Bernado as the ones not passing enough to him in the previous interview. And I really don't like his showing so much frustration towards teammates in the closing minutes of the game. I understand him. But please express it in the dressing room.

Everyone is not perfect. Being a team means not only your teammates need to adapt to you, but you need to adapt to your teammates as well. Bernado and Gundo have a shorter pass range. So could you drop a bit deep to receive the ball, keep it and then we can come up some other tricks?

JFK: Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.

Same for you Erling. Ask not what your team can do for you, ask what you can do for your team.

I don’t think inverted wingers is necessarily the problem. It’s more our inverted wingers that are the issue. Grealish and Mahrez don’t work. Both have their positives, I mean it’s hard to argue with Mahrez form since the WC and Grealish is arguably in his best form since he came to the club. However, as wide forwards as providers for Haaland, they are both fucking useless and it won’t change because it’s exactly how they both play. Want the best out of Haaland? Grealish and Mahrez can’t play wide. If KDB isn’t playing, we might as well drop Haaland and play with a false 9.

If I remember correctly, the only through ball to Halaand came from Grealish. And Mahrez scored the only goal.

Whenever we are lacking creativity like today, I wish we'd play with a "fuck it, Haaland's up there somewhere" mentality and go more direct.

I'm not suggesting we go full Stoke but in a season where we so often look flat and out of ideas - let the Viking do his thing.

He is always going to be the biggest, fastest, and strongest player out there, with the movement and positioning match. Just smash balls up to the bastard and let him eat.

If he isn't getting throughballs, then he needs to stop those runs behind.

Drop deep like Benzema and become a false 9, then if the players ask why's he dropping so deep he can then say he wants to play football, not be a traffic cone.

Jokes aside, adding more buildup to his play will only help him, he only lacks those qualities that someone like Benzema has who can strengthen the play of his teammates around him. Once he adds that, he becomes unstoppable, no matter if the team ignores his runs behind.

Who are they though? Because the only really top team he has scored against is arsenal? Blanks agains United away and Liverpool away who attack more.

That sounds like a big criticism - it’s not, I just don’t know who the teams that attack more are!!

Looks the most pissed off player in the team,a frustration that could lead to an inevitable departure, sooner than we would like.

Just get some balls through for him,he's lightning, and needs service,he's scored 20 odd goals this season, and should have 30 plus now, feel sorry for him me,I really do
