Did alright. Getting more involved, was always going to take time to be fully integrated even with the electric start. one half chance from a header first half is the only real sniff we gave him.

Can see he's not making runs into the box every single time at the minute because he now knows he's just not going to get the ball played in to him in certain situations so it's pointless, be a real shame if he loses that completely. when it goes wide to grealish or whoever is out there he knows they are not going to be putting it in for him quickly, he only really bothers with the runs if its kdb or gundo on the ball at the minute, can't blame him really.

Probably thought get as close to KDB as possible in the hope he found a blue shirt the way Kev was playing

I actually think technically he is pretty sound and it's becoming more apparent as the season goes on. Goals have dried up a bit (a bit), but he's now getting more involved in the build up - yesterday you could see loads of flick ons one of them being an assist.

Think he will land somewhere between 40-50 goals in all competitions which is outstanding in his first year.

I agree with pretty much all of that but I`d still like to see more pass in front of him.

May sound bizarre, but I think he is finding the Premier League tough physically.

You could see early on just how much he was getting on top in the physical battles, but I think opposing players have started to adjust positions to combat that - rather than challenging for the ball, they just get in his way, and often it's two players doubling up to form a wall in front of him.

Even the biggest defenders were struggling to challenge him in a 50:50, but if you forget about that, and simply block his route past, then he has to rely on his first touch/control, and that often gives the defender a chance.

I think it's the sign that he's adjusting his game. He scored for fun in the early part of the season. Now he's doing something else.
It was a small gesture, but that flick-on for Bernardo was just so intelligent. It was exactly what had to be done, and it had to be measured perfectly. He did an almost identical thing a few minutes later for Grealish. Again, very quick thinking, and exactly the right option. Could have been another one for Foden.
I'd like him to improve his heading a bit, frankly. And I think he will. Those two early chances for Gundo and him could have put the game out of sight for Newcastle. To be fair, his was more difficult than Gundo's. But neither of them were even on target. As I say, he'll work on that.
