Was optimistic for him after the first 20 mins but Grealish and Silva rarely took any risks to take on their full back and potentially lose the ball. The goal Madrid scored in transition from left back shows why!

Perhaps it’d be a good decision to start Foden ahead of Bernardo in the home tie. We then can bring Bernardo to add some energy in midfield as the game wears on or Bernardo starts ahead of Gundo. Grealish and Bernardo played it far too safe which wasn’t exactly a bad decision as we were away against RM. However I think we need to be bolder in the return leg.
