Call him what you want but he wasn’t flagged offside once today, he rarely is. What he does need to do is work centre half’s harder. Take them into places they don’t want to go.

Never said he was flagged but from my seat in East 3 could see him clear as day stood miles off everytime we broke forward and therefore the team had to stop the attack to let him get back on which he did in no great rush.
 
I understand the frustrations with him I share some of them. But maybe just maybe, after 3 years of him scoring a ridiculous amount of goals despite not fitting into the system, and after now 2 months worth of losses, maybe just maybe we could try and feed him direct passes into the little space he has. We have the best goalscorer on the planet, this is the time we need him to dig us out.
 
Time to try something different up front.
Play Kovacic holding mid and 5 from Foden, Grealish, Savinho, Doku, Gundogan, Silva, KDB.

I think I’m right in saying that if you compare the 2 full seasons before he signed with the 2 full seasons after, we got 8 more goals and 1 more point with him in the team. Yes he has scored loads but, the rest of the team dried up.
 
No problem with him laughing. Anyone who has played a decent level of sport knows that. It’s what life is about

But not pressing, jumping or getting back onside when the side is already so slow and has to stop isn’t ok. Couldn’t give a fuck about bad players or mistakes. Could give a fuck about lack of effort. And as much as he’s done some great stuff, today he was Jamie Pollock levels. And has been for weeks. Nobody scores the goal against Dortmund. Most top strikers score 30 in our treble team and last year. Put a fucking shift in regardless of whether people keep missing obvious passes.

He offers nothing, no movement, no fight, no desire. He doesn’t get involved in the game, he doesn’t attack the ball, he doesn’t press properly and he doesn’t hold up play. He's lazy.

On the flip side, we don’t play to his strengths and he’s clearly frustrated.

Just want the lad to start looking like he gives a fuck tbh. He seems incapable of timing his jumps to win the ball in the air, he is rarely getting in front of anyone who he is challenging for the ball, always seems to be just pushing and shoving or going through their back as they have beaten him to it. There were two or three times he could have won second balls today and literally didn't move an inch, one of the times I'm convinced he wasn't even looking in the right direction of the ball and them bastards broke away. He never busts a gut in the box to get to the near post, I could go on and on, for a big Lad he doesn't use it well at all. Harry fucking Maguire pocketed him today ffs.
