Superb. didn’t score but he created so much space for the others around him today. If Aguero is back and fully fit, he starts but I’d be playing Jesus off the wing with him, more threatening and involved more than our other options there.

It's a weird one with the pair.

Jesus does a lot for the team in general. Other players tend to score more with him in the team. He picks up a strong goal return too himself.

Aguero scores at a ridiculous rate. The rest of the team score a bit less with him in as he's more of a focal point. He still does a fair bit to help out though beyond himself.

Historically the team generally performs the same with either in the team.

But I think they both would benefit with a strike partner. And both would benefit from having a strike partner precisely like the other player. But Pep doesn't really go for 2 up top.

I'd say it's a good dilemma. A bit like what we seem to have developed at CB suddenly.

I think you'd have to be a particularly petty and bitter person to complain about offside calls today.

For a start, Torres was offside for the fist disallowed goal, not Gaby, and the second was a millimetre offside that they spent 5 minutes trying to find.

His performance was excellent.
Bitter ? Lol give over , grow a harder shell

with Mendy back, going back to 3-5-2 as an option would be nice to try, especially for rotation purposes.

keep saying it myself......him and Cancelo would be superb. We have 4 very mobile centre halves to choose from, and the system would allow more support for Rodri while affording our no.10s to create havoc.

We looked like that for large parts in transition with Mendy wide and Ferran coming inside.

Ferran's goal from Jesus' pass is what I want to see more of.

Thought Jesus's pass for the fourth goal has gone under the radar , his touch and vision is what the lad is all about in the penalty area , laid on a plate for Torres , would interesting to see Jesus get a chance alongside a robust type centre forward feeding off flick-ons etc. Not that we will ever see it, we simply dont play that way , but i think he would thrive alongside a DeLap type of player.

Love this kid, earned his spot and hope he’s our main striker moving forward. Don’t need Halaand, just a back up to Jesus.
