9 up for sale at Madrid

Robben certainly.

The defence needs strengthening and is a far more pressing issue if we are to start winning matches, especially away from home.

Shay Given must be praying that we are soon announcing the acquisition of a well respected, commanding central defender and a quality right back to offer him much greater support than he gets at the moment.

After the indolent performances WrightPhilips had on the right I got a little bit worried, now I think that Robben is a must buy and can play on both sides.

Huntelaar is half the player Adebayour is!! IMO it's crazy to suggest we should have gambled on him when he failed to make the cut at Madrid, possibly would have been an option had we not also signed RSC.

He scored 8 goals in 20 games for MAdrid you call that a failure ! His scoring record is unbelivable everywhere he plays. He comes over here watch how many goals he gets next season !

granted that is a good record, but why do madrid want rid of him? I just dont think he would get into our team when tevez robi and ade are fit

Regardless of Huntelaar's talents we've got Adebayor, Tevez, RSC, Bellamy, Robinho, Bojinov and Benjani who can play as a striker, we don't need an 8th!!

It wont happen hes going to Ac Milan by the looks of it.

We should have got him instead of RSC (who is not even fit it would seem) like I said that ship has sailed, Hughes wanted to bring in another one of his injury prone bum chums unfortunately.

Totally agree.

I'm going against the grain here, we dont have a true poacher, so i'd be happy to lose boj, benj, and bellamy in return for someone like huntelaar.

How would we play, Huntelaar, RSC and Ade in the same team.........without pissing someone off every week by being a bench warmer. I am sure that RSC hasnt come here to get splinters in his a#se and Ade certainly wont be on the bench...........Assuming that Tevez and Robbie are certain starters of course!

I cannot how we will keep people happy here, especially the following;

Benji - Not concerned at this, as we have never seen anything like the best of him
Boj - Shame, as he does look like he has something and he is still young
Petrov - Simply no room and i dont think he will want to be coming off the bench
Bellamy - Probably the only one who may be happy coming off the bench and starting in the Carling Cup
SWP - Has to show his best form to be considered being in the starting 11

yep, that's why I said someone like Huntelaar. can't see him happy sitting on the bench but I think it's a gap in the squad. for all the talents of the others, we do not have an expert poacher / finisher.

I have 2 Target men, good for competition and Ade is away for a month.
Rob, Petrov, Boj as a possibilty on the left.
Tevez, SWP, Bellamy for the right hand birth.
and Tevez Robinho Bellamy Boj to go alongside a big guy in a 4-4-2 (but none of them are poachers)

so, I'd let boj, petrov, bellamy go, buy another specialist winger for the left who can play on the right as well, and an out right poacher. 3 out, 2 in, and we get wider range of options. having a poacher who you can throw on would be better than having yet another creative type, or bellamy (can you really see a situation where we the one thing we are lacking up front is pace?).

No way Bellamy is going hes a Hughes welsh bum chum and hes only been at the club for six months.

UNless he agitates for a move and lets face it he has done that at just about every club he has played for.

Robben is the only Madrid player from that list that I'd take. Sneijder and VDV are so average, and M.Diarra is just so sh1t. Can't even pass.

Sneijder average? That's not quite right surely. Your opinion though, so... cool. IMO he's better than superman and that's saying summet (although to be fair I've not watched all his games)
