9 wins and a draw

What is it with some City fans this weekend!

Why are some trying to divide us?

There really is no need, some people held very strong opinions (which I disagreed with for the record) but this is a football forum and people have a right to air their opinions.

May I suggest that we let things be, and enjoy the good times without wanting to rub peoples collective noses in their past opinions and views, we all support the same team don't we?

I think the issue that most of us pro-Mancini camp had, was that whenever there was a loss or a reported problem in the paper they couldn't fire their p.c. up quickly enough to rant and rail against - and I quote - 'bumbling Bob Mancini'.

However whenever things went our way they were conspicuous by their absence. I know of one of the 'cabal' who hasn't posted since the morning of May 14th (Cup Final day), although he's been on here nontheless - biding his time, no doubt.

To me that is the hallmark of a spineless shithouse.

25 points out of the last 27 available. Disgrace. Btw: enjoyed listening to Bond on Tevez. Happy days.

Right - let's see who we've beaten in that 10 games.

Bolton & Blackburn away twice. The two sides propping up the Prem.
Spurs at home, thanks to an own goal.
Spurs away - not bad that one but all the dice were loaded in our favour that day.
Stoke at home when they'd given up and thanks to an outstanding performance from someone who's probably played his last game for us.
Swansea at home who were pretty but clueless and we relied on a sub to do it for us, as the starting XI hadn't a clue.
Wigan at home, the other side propping up the table.
Everton, thanks to a deflection then an injury time goal.

And the draw, away at Fulham (who were in the bottom three until today) after throwing a two goal lead away.

Why don't we wait until we've played someone decent before we start crowing too much. Because sometimes it can come back and bite you on the bum.

In fact we have played someone decent as Bayern and to a lesser extent Napoli, humbled us.

Spurs are good and we thrashed them, just admit it. Everton have always been tough and we beat them, just admit it. We were better than Bayern for half an hour, learning curve, and Napoli we underperformed.

Fact is we aren't at our best yet are joint top, Champions League is a learning curve but I think we can beat Villarreal and get back into the mix.
I said I was playing up to my image in that post. I'm naturally delighted with where we are now and loving every minute of it. I even don't expect us to reach our peak until next season when we'll have pretty much the same squad who have had a full season and pre-season together.

But I still think we could have done better last season and were a bit fortunate that Arsenal & Spurs blew up so badly on the run-in. I'm not going to apologise for that because those are my honestly held opinions.

This place gets more childish by the day. I enjoy reading posts from fellow blues that challenge the perceived wisdom of the day, because I find them more thought provoking and interesting than 100 Forza Mancini posts (not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with Forza Mancini posts). If you can find me one blue who isn't deliriously happy with our start to the season I'll gladly eat a bucket of sick, but commenting on issues that arise and being critical of the manager from time to time doesn't mean that you secretly want the team to lose or hate the manager. In fact, I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Is it my imagination or are the majority of those who get on the high horses as soon as anyone dares to question the manager, posters who previously gave Mark Hughes dog's abuse on here? Hugely ironic imo.

hgb. The OP was slightly tongue in cheek. Although as someone pointed out we only need to draw a game and within a nanosecond criticism of Mancini pours down from a great height.

In addition the idea that there are two sides to every story (as in Tevez) is plainly wrong. As someone else pointed out in a rather extreme way you wouldn't use that in defence of Harold Shipman. Tevez is just bad, bad, bad news and your defence of him has been embarassing to say the least.

Thats more like it, wheeeey hay, no praise except for Bayern and Napoli who humbled us.
lol you were joking I take it

Think it's fair to say that were they United fans the cabalists would have been calling for Ferguson's head everytime they have had a bad spell.

He'd never have survived the seasons they didn't win the league. PB would have pointed out his(Ferguson's) shortcomings in no uncertain terms.

Unluckily for us the men who would pull the trigger at United take a slightly longer term look at how the manager is doing.
