90 minutes of booing Dippers

We boo a lot against United to try and intimidate them while on the ball, though not for 90 minutes. It's quite common across Europe.

It was obnoxious but understandable. The cheers when Yaya got injured on the other hand, were not acceptable. Nor the bricking of coaches. Or young girls being called slags. Or young men being jumped.

I've heard similar whistling when the opposition have the ball at Maine Road and eastlands before - usually in the derby. Less so nowadays since it's become an easier game for us.

I don't have a problem with it; huge game, home fans wanting to play their part and try and distract the opposition - fair enough in my opinion. It's not a cricket match after all...

A lot of Liverpool fans clapped toure off the pitch - I was in row 4 and saw them to the right and left doing so. Pretty decent of them, but not exactly a case for sainthood.

As for the coach windows; clearly unacceptable behaviour from some pathetic cretins. I'm always reluctant to badge every fan of any team on the actions of a few though. I've seen plenty of stuff done by City fans on away trips that I wouldn't do myself.

The sink pissing issue took a new turn yesterday: each sink was being used when I queued on way in. On way out (after using the pisser) saw a lad drinking from the tap with his face in the sink! It goes to show there are no victimless crimes...!

Don't really see the problem with booing.
Similarly cheering when an opponent gets injured might not be classy but worse has happened at football.

Liverpool fans views on it all. We're quite serious about the bricking of the coaches. NO place for that in football,

but the booing.... thats just what as someone says.

playing "at home" is.

What a fucking embarrassing thread this is, criticising fans for trying to make an atmosphere. Shows how bad English fans have become.

That's not what is being said at all but if you can't be arsed to read the posts I don't expect you would understand.

It is though you made a thread calling liverpool fans cunts because they booed when we were in possession. They were just trying to make a hostile atmosphere like you see in any big game around the world. Bizarre this thread.

I have more respect for the Dippers for making the atmosphere hostile, than I would have if they had just sat on there hands and done nowt....the saying the crowd can be the 12th man was never more evident than the opening 25minutes yesterday, and any City fan thinking they were out of order for booing and hissing and what ever else they did when we had the ball is an embarrassment to themselves and needs to grow up or even better grow some bollocks

You respect the dippers for creating a 'hostile' atmosphere which no doubt will have got them all pumped up to then throw bricks at coaches and jump our fans? Wow.

-- Mon Apr 14, 2014 3:02 pm --

And yet you can't stop posting in it.

IMO it was no coincidence that we were the team chosen to visit Anfield on their match day anniversary. Our fans´conduct at Old Trafford for the 50th Munich anniversary was impeciable and so I believe the EPL authorities selected us to be Liverpool´s opponents yesterday. Once again we showed total respect to LFC, and their supporters.

Unfortunately the majority of the crowd treated our players disrespectfully for large periods of the game.

An apology from Liverpool´s Chief Executive would be entirely appropriate.
