93:20, Yaya's semi-final goal vs Utd or Yaya's FA Cup winner?

Which was the more pivotal goal?

This question shall pit blues against blues, brothers against brothers, mothers against daughters, dogs against their masters. There shall be blood in the streets, the fields, the forest, the beaches, and the homes of all who answer the call of conflict.

May god have mercy on their souls.

I dont recall that happening and I was there and have watched re-runs 1 million times.
think one or 2 ran on but noting much was cleared by the time the players were back to take kick off as I remember it

I can say that. We were totally dominant and miles better than them. We'd have won the game at some point. It ended 1-0 because once you've scored you ease up.

Pep has something to do with it. The club later admitted they were in discussions with him in the spring of 2012. If Sergio hadn't scored Mancini would have been sacked and Pep would have come to us. That's my belief.
C'mon mate, you going off on a bit of a tangent here. You've been a blue as long as I have. Could have should have would have's don't count. I could argue that without Yaya scoring the goal that won the cup we wouldn't have won the league the following season...

Yeah, there was like a handful of people at most and it was clear by the time the players were back to kick off.

To me I'm answering the question quite clearly. Yaya's goal is not as "important" (the entire question depends on your definition of important, by the way), because it wasn't in the last minute and didn't affect the club's future in the same way. To me that is the very definition of "important".

It's a trick question. They were both incredible moments. It's like asking me which of my 2 daughters is the better? Neither, both, I can't and won't answer that question. To do so would disrespect the other. I'd rather die.
It's not a trick question and I'll explain why from my POV.

The last trophy we won at the end of our successful late 60s period was the European Cup Winners Cup in 1970. I was 6 then and have no memories of winning it. I remember the League cup win in 76 and Dennis Tueart's famous overhead kick winning goal but I wasn't at Wembley and had to make do with watching on TV.

However, I was at both the semi and final in 2011 praying that we'd win the cup that season because for many years watching us get beaten(often humiliated) meant that back then I genuinely thought I'd never see my beloved blues ever win a proper trophy, and that was a harrowing thought!

And before starting this thread I was thinking about whether the cup v league win was the most significant or important and I'm edging on thinking that it was Yaya's cup winning goal that meant more, even though i was in 109 going absolutely bonkers when Sergio won us the league.

But like those who have pointed out Yaya's semi final goal was of equal importance to the cup winning goal which is fair enough, it was but we didn't see the cup lifted in that game.
