A big "well done" to the Met

You would think that the Shadow HOME SECRETARY would know that the police are not acting ABOVE the law here. They are using reasonable force to stop/ prevent a crime or injury to members of the public.

Absolute **** of a woman

She's the 'hard left' politician that sent her kid to private school mate.
If you want better education, don't vote for politicians that use the private education system.
If you want better healthcare, don't vote for politicians that use private healthcare, etc.

I wish all forces used this method and if one of the scrotes gets killed trying to evade the police then tough. It's about time the vast majority of law abiding citizens in this country can go about their daily lives without fear of being robbed, attached, stabbed etc. More power to the police I say.

Absolutely. Fuck him. He made his choices.

Such a callous attitude to hypothetically killing someone who, usually, is no more than a kid. The issue here is why these young people are turning to this type of crime in the first instance.
This type of "tough on crime" approach is just a short term fix that pleases the mob mentality and covers up the fact that this crime is on the rise because the government and the police have fucked them and forgotten about them in the first place.

One such case here and this new policy will lead to more. Can't understand how anyone thinks running the risk of killing someone in response to a stolen handbag/phone is in any way proportionate. Just my opinion
