I have a friend who recently became a priest and a friend going through seminary and both feel john pauls handling of the abuse scandal caused great damage to the church and still priests are being shielded.It causes one in particular great distress but neither blindly defend that which they know is wrong.
Blind faith is dangerous.

Bulgaria has never been part of the soviet union. You should update your knowledge. Perhaps now that propaganda does not play a huge role in education you can really learn.

religious indoctrination comes in the first instance from parents, then the church then the school.
don't see much of it from mainstream tv.

What kind of sex are you into Paul? Kinky bondage? Role-play? Maybe you and your wife cover each other in chocolate? Its all fine so long as you enjoy it and don't hurt anyone. Id hazard a guess though that your kids have no idea as to your sexual appetite.

If you can still enjoy your sex but keep it from them as they are too young, why can't you do the same with your religion? You don't have to involve your children in everything. Avoiding their indoctrination would be easy if you had any desire to. But religion is a cancer that can only feed off the young, so you serve them up.
