Forget about the money we pay why is anyone bothered if we pay £30 £40 for this lad I don't care because it isn't my money. We ain't ever been in a situation like this so let's enjoy it. People slag us off for paying over the top I say so f@@king what u have to pay for the best and up and coming best and this is what bobby is doing so if it cost £500m to make us the best then so be it.

Also can we stop putting £30 million, it wont even be close to 30 million euros nevermind pounds.

If i was to guess i think we'd pay £21-23million thats with bonuses...

Some reports today are around that figure and 16-18 upfront for this kid seems worth it. We have not been ripped off once this transfer window, we're not starting now.

I'd take the gamble at £16-18 million + performance & achievement related bonuses, but anything over £23-24 million worries me.

Well let Khaldoon and The Sheikh WORRY about that !!!!!!!
Talk about negativity all the time about this young lad who COULD be as big as Tranny in a few years.

Why would you worry? Is it your money?

Just worrying about whatever UEFA rules come in, we shouldn't be writing off £30 million fees summer after summer.

Like I said, if he does well and doesn't cause trouble, then I will get behind him and support him like I did Bellers, but he has to prove he is mature enough to play well consistantly and keep his mouth shut, because after Inter he has to prove it was a one club issue.[/quote]

Should you not do this anyway? And only take it away should he prove to be the dick that you seem to think he is.

I have been a blue for such a long time and in that time have been lucky enough to see but two players who were truely touched bye greatness (Bell & Lake). I have also seen that this can be taken away often before it truely comes to the fore and often cruelly and abruptly. Since then I have dreampt that one day I will witness again a player so special that the world begrudges us his presence. This boy (and make no mistake he is still a boy) represents the most tangible chance that could happen some time soon.

I find it incomprehensible that a fellow blue would be such a venomously opposed to that.

FFS, it's not £30m. It'll be around £20m with add-ons. And this has diddly squat to do with UEFA rules. They're not in force yet.

And, whether he's a success or not, most of that money is gone. If he's brilliant, we keep him and don't recoup the cash; if he's shite we sell him for £10m and get half our money back. So, you see, it'll be better for our books if he's shite.

Now, stop bloody whingeing, man! ;p

Seeing as all you have done is spout shit in the transfer forum with regards to Tolmie I don't care about what you have to say, and for me the team comes before any individual and I'm always skeptical of potential dressing room disharmony with a risky new signing, it's natural, therefore he has to convince me, nothing sinister, I just want him to prove himself if he signs, which he should do anyway for the transfer fee.

Are you serious? I have also watched the blues for a long bloody time but we certainly have more than 2 players that have been touched by greatness...

What about - Trevor Francis, Georgi Kinkladze, Tommy Caton, Kaz Deyna, Joe Corrigan, Asa Hartford, Carlos Tevez - these are just a few of the top of my head without even looking at the younger generation that I do believe will only get better with the older heads we have added to the squad

let the dissecting begin....
