i think the EFL have took it out of there hands and end of business signs will be up, liquidated means they cease to trade under the name bury fc and everything they own is sold off to pay of the debts, so steve dale will be taken to court and will have to answer questions and will be seen if he has money to pay to anymore dodgy deals in the new of bury fc

the EFL have written off bury football club because the truth is bury football club is finished and will not have a name or ground and any future bury football club has gone, a new club has to be formed and registered in time for next season and have a ground and a safety certificate passed before they can enter a league, if the new owners can buy back the ground or get a lease for a couple of years then they could use the old ground, but i think the council have a big say on the land and if anybody buys it from the sale by the liquidates they will have to go to court to knock it down and build new houses or flats, so again any new club that can be built quickly and have funds maybe it would be just a new trading name and the ground will still be used

Perhaps they could ground share with FCUM

Other EFL clubs vote against readmitting Bury into League Two from next season. Would love to find out which teams voted which way.

EDIT: Apparently no vote was held, they just discussed the matter to decide a "direction of travel".

Can only suspect clubs thought all these promises were empty, and that they'd been here too many times before.

They'd be better selling the club, getting their affairs in order, applying for non league football and getting promoted back to the football league.

Such a sad state of affairs. Feel for the fans who have been utterly shat on by too many people.

And what is wrong with that? Why should another club risk their place in the football league because another couldn't manage their finances? It's shit for the fans but I don't agree with anyone blaming the league 2 clubs for voting the way they did.

The EFL let a totally unfit person takeover for a quid, obviously no interest in protecting the club, more like wanting to asset strip given that is how he makes a living. And he remains in charge of the future of the club. That’s the nub of it.

The EFL didn't agree with the takeover, but are not able to stop shares being sold, and they were on his back since the takeover.

Andy Burnham and the MPs obviously don't understand what being kicked out of the league means. Like others have done they need to aim their sights lower and win their way back in on merit over several years or decades.
