A Positive from the new euro away ticket system?

Like you it guarantees me a ticket as well.
However I'm not an 'all right Jack' like some posters and believe the system should make sure what is right for some fans, should be right for all others.
Simple question Tim
Should people without seasoncards be getting tickets for the game last Wednesday?

I would have thought it would have been season cards as a minim requirement. Shame if it wasn't as there were two Blues on our plane who didn't have tickets despite being season card holders and on the Champs League scheme!

Well it wasn't Tim, which shows you didn't read my very long post.....tut tut.

Unfortunately there was a sizeable number there without seasoncards, never mind 9000 points.

It's to make sure the tickets go to the right people and where's the problem with that? I'd get rid of the wristbands if they are a city initiative though.
As I have just said to Tim
There were people in the ground, in our end, with wristbands who did not have the required points. In fact they didn't even have seasoncards. Is that fair?

I appreciate loyalty and all that. I went to near enough every away game in the dark years. But do you really want the same people at the big matches all the time. It could be counter productive. To me it's a conundrum.

No. I've agreed there's an issue with SCs and official trips. Doesn't mean it's a bad idea in general for tickets to be collected in the away city. I went to Monchengladbach and had to get my ticket through someone I know and when I went to Barcelona it was the same. There's 2 games where someone got points and didn't go and I didn't get mine. The same would have happened with Madrid without the new system and that wouldn't be fair.

But I'm not arguing against stopping the tickets being passed on? I've not once said it.
I'm arguing against being treated as second class citizens, against being herded to one point, to having to carry your passport around with you, to having one section of fans not having to queue whilst others do have to, and most of all against the bull shit that says this has been introduced by UEFA.

You said my idea was against data protection, don't apply for the card then.
All I said it needs is a DoB, seasoncard number and name.
The club hold your details securely like any airline etc.
