A proper discussion...what made you support city?

Well. I was 4. Sat In My Local Pub.

90 Mins. Manchester City 0-2 Gillingham.
The Pub was empty and it was just me, my parents and afew drunken people.
Then. Horlock scored and people slowly decided to come back. 2-2! Dickov scored. The pub went mad!
Then out of nowhere a crazy drunken man grabbed me from behind a shook me in the air. From that moment on. I was Blue(:

Thank You drunken man, as you have caused me a life of pain and misery (: - - God I hate dickov sometimes. Other times i love him.

My grandad, my dad and his brothers used to go every week. When I was about 6 they took me along on the odd occasion then regularly from spring 68 onwards.

My dad is returning next year after giving up his seat last year because he was so ill, but after watching the Hamburg game on TV he wanted to come back, I'll be getting his season ticket again next week.

Live in Salford, Family are Bolton & United, no city at all, none of my mates were either, think it was when i was around 8 during The Tarnat & Goater Days & the tea stain proned kits

my dad as a kid went to both because he had a blue uncle and a rag uncle ,as he got older he became a blue , He said to me when they the "rags" get beat there fans say its because they played badly its never the better team won , so i supose i chose city because of what he said ,ive still not seen us win a trophy not counting playoffs and winning promotion but i couldnt give a toss because being a city fan is so much more than that , but hey you all now that dont you.....although it would be good maybe next year eh !!!!

because my dad brought me up the right way and its been like that ever since wont be any other way oh and by the way The Robin Hood (ex Robbies pub) if I remember is now a plumbing outlet for some appliance company ...

My uncle used to run a team in Timperly or Alty way (cant be sure where but thats where they lived) called Stamford Lads, as I recall they got their strips from City which were usually the previous seasons City kits, They started donating them to me, thank god cos if it had been down to me old man I would have ended up supporting Leeds.

In chronological order:

1. Lack of Premier League teams in Sweden.
2. Sven
3. Bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk - yes, you people!
4. Everything else about the club, and now I'm stuck.

And I love it!

I grew up in Wigan, watched them as a kid at Springfield Park (my Grandad was season ticket untill his football mate died and he never went again). Everyone at school was either a bindipper fan or a rag, I cared for neither. Then when I was 15 my best mate and I went to Maine Rd with his older bother (vs West Ham). I'd never felt anything like it.
CTID.
