A proper discussion...what made you support city?

father is a blue and born in manchester so only one choice really.

and very proud of it.

blue bloods been in the family since, well, forever. I had relatives that supported ardwick fc and st marks so its always been there. i even grabbed the city badge on my dads jacket, the very first time he held me :D plus growing up, going to school and living in Gorse Hill and Stretford, i grew to hate the arragonce of the rags. My cousins and aunties are rags and i just didnt like the way they were, you know how smarmy they were so that just help reassure me that i'd made the right choice and never looked back. I can honestly say i've NEVER regretted supporting city no matter how bad we've been CTID

The question was what made you support City, there is no real answer except to say that you do not choose ....YOU are chosen.
It is there just below the fabric of your life, the inate willingness to believe, to hope even where logically hope should not exist.
Besides the rags are crap.

My grandad (favorite player Max Woosnam) was born in ardwick in 1899 & first went to hyde road in about 1906 & supported city up until the late 70s when he sadly passed away, my dad (favorite player Peter Doherty) first went to maine road in the mid 1930s up until the mid 1990s (R.I.P. dad, I still miss my best mate) & my first game was in the late 1960s up until now (favorite player Colin Bell).
I have never really thought about it but I suppose thats over 100 years of continuous support. (I dont wonder its in my blood).

My dad and my uncle... but then i was mascot for Mcfc against Preston at Maine Road when i was younger and that was the best day of my life :) then i started learning about MCFC and supporting them :D

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE BEING MASCOT FOR CITY!! ESPECIALLY THE ATMOSPHERE AT MAINE ROAD IT WAS SCARY BUT AMAZING!!! :)

CTID!!
