The 2 replies just go to show how socially unacceptable it is to speak up against science but it shouldn't be and how intolerant a lot of atheists actually are.

It doesn't surprise me as we are only taught from a left brain perspective in the western world sadly.

Science needs to be liberated from the dogmas that restrict it.
What the fuck are you actually on about?

I see you have written words but they do not make any sense. Show me the narrow minded and intolerant atheists killing in the name of atheism and I will accept your argument you fucking hypocrite.

Speak up against Science? Do you have any idea what "science" actually is?

And a once again, a religious zealot talking about "dogma", how can you even write that with a straight face?

The only thing I can think is that you are on the wum and doing a very good job.

The only narrow minded and abusive one here is yourself, if you want a reply, please use a bit of politeness and manners.
To be honest, I would be more interested in a conversation with a toaster than someone that thinks of science is dogmatic, intolerant and narrow minded.

So no, fuck it, you don't deserve manners or politeness. You are clearly mental.

You seem a very closed minded person swp, but that's cool, you can be how you want to be.

As for these religous wars, killing people, many wars today are perceived to be religous wars but in reality they are due to land.

Take northern ireland for example, catholics and protestants can live together peacefully in england and the republic of ireland, the issue is to do with land it has very little if any to do with religion.

For anyone interested in the work of sheldrake, check out a talk i went to in Wilmslow last year.

thanks

Yes I am closed minded, now go back to thinking the answer to all of your life's question can be found in a 1,800 year old book with no room for changes.

As for your talks from confidence tricksters, enjoy, hope you get fleeced.

I very rarely poke my head in here, this thread just caught my attention.

I've been reading about Thomas Jefferson recently and I think he got it about right.

Here's a guy, one of the Founding Fathers of America, who helped draft the constitution that people were free to believe in God.

He thought the Bible made a lot of decent points but at no stage did he believe Jesus was who he said he was, and was just an 'enlightened' figure of his time.

I have two very young children and couldn't believe the reactions and pressure to have them both Christened.

I was never Christened, never been inside a church outside other peoples' weddings or a funeral, and was allowed to reach my own take on life.

All people said was, 'oh, but it's only right, can have a nice party afterwards etc'

I'll let them find their own way.
