I was watching a live feed a few hrs ago and the cops was trying to move on about 20 protestors from sitting down on a busy st in bristol. The cops only 6 of them at the time asked them to leave etc, then a few hundred more protestors gathered out numbered the cops.Officers suffering broken bones during riots in Bristol. People will still justify it. This was bound to escalate once the police are abandoned by the politicians and treated like inhuman shit by the media.
Has even one person on this forum read the police and crime bill?
It seems that when you let the protesters do what they want, like the Bristol protest you have mentioned, they then go on to attack the police, loot and destroy other peoples property... BUT my point isn't about a protest it is about the timing of it. People are dying because of these gatherings. They are selfish idiots.all that is true however anti lockdown march in London and anti Bill march in Bristol today were Policed totally differently. Why do you think that was? It would have been easy for the Police who were present to steam in and arrest people peacefully protesting for breaking Covid rules ( which they should not break ) - but its that comparison that went down so badly. When the Police are ordered to break up a vigil of women protesting about the murder of a young woman for which a cop is under arrest and do so in the manner that they did and yet yesterday and today the Met and then Avon and Somerset plod put out messages telling these gatherings that what they planned was also illegal and when it was ignored they did...................?
