A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

My lads just text me this from somewhere .... not sure if its been posted already, apologies if so

Oh manuel pellegrini
He is our charming man
He is the boss of city
And he knows the masterplan
He said to guardiola
My work is nearly done
So come and win the champions league
Then win another one

That is excellent

Enjoy your retirement wish i could at 62!! You have done a great job for being here but not what all us fans have agreed on. Chin up keep strong you have been apart of what is the best football team in the land, (and it has been along time coming for the faithful ones) We as City fans will stand and be stronger, give you a fond farewell, because you have been an influential part of our making. Thank you and Good luck for the future.

I'm not one for faux sentimentality. Sure he's a nice man but frankly I don't care if our manager is nice or not I just want him to win us trophies.

With what he's achieved already I'd say he's been a major success. If we win the league again this year he becomes an all time great.

I'd think an apology is in order from probably 50% of the rags on here masquerading as city fans. He gets slated every other week by complete morons on here, who somehow think they know tactics and how to manage a football squad.

To aforementioned rags, you couldn't manage a Monday training session, much less lead a team to a title. Manuel has won us the double and done it with more class than all the doubters could muster on their best day... combined.

So many people confuse his class with weakness, and it's just an illustration of their own lack of class.

MP is already a legend, and he leaves a squad that is ready to conquer Europe under his replacement.

In the cold light of day manuel has done a superb job steering the ship in the right direction nice and smooth nice and quiet no many issues! All the dressing room bullshit under mancini has faded away!
Pep was always on the cards and manuel has been total class!
I wish you all the best for the rest of this season and for your future!
Total class!!
MCFC!!!

I think a lot if this ' He is a Classy Guy' stuff belittles how fucking good of a coach he really is. I know folks here don't appreciate how good of a coach we have. He is a top 10 coach in football right now.

My initial thoughts when i heard the news ( by text ,from a sheff utd fan bizzarely enough) apart from the obvious excitement, was one of sadness for a manger i have a lot of respect for.
The calm, classy manner in which Manuel has handled his time at City and the fact that he was the first manager to win a double in one season since being a fan in the mid 70s,means that he goes down as probably my 2nd fav boss whilst following the blues....Roberto is King.

Then i read somewhere that Pep had lost only 19 league games out of 238....oh my days..Wow!!..i genuinely had no idea his record was THAT good.
Its right that our owners are seeking to employ the best, and take us to another level, but all the same i will never forget the contribution made by this quietly determined, unassuming man
who chose to hold his counsel at times when others turned to bitterness and sniping as a method of hiding their own managerial inadequacies.

Back in the 1987/88 season , as a 20 year old, i dreamed of us pulling off an unlikely treble when we were smashing goals for fun in the old second division, and ventured to the quarter finals of both the league and fa cup..with Paul Lake in your side you thought anything was possible, lol..Manchester City have come an awful long way since those heady days of the 80s.
Manuel has played his part in that journey.

Of course he goes with our best wishes but their is a lot to do in the 15 games and in the cups and plenty of time for good wishes when he leaves us in May.
