After all the support that he was given even though he was an 'alleged drug-taker' but he started touting himself around other clubs after spitting his dummy out. Our team were formed in 1894, in Manchester. Our teams shirt has the Manchester crest on it.
Take away your Trophies (your eyes sparkled then ) take away Citys trophies. You are left with two sets of supporters , one set who would follow them into the lower reaches of the league without having to form another team (United FC of Manchester from Bury ).A team that has the highest attendance at a game outside Wembley. A team that for years has won nowt but still gets the crowds.
Your team according to your history were formed in Newton (which at the time was a borough of Oldham) No that cant be right ! There's a reason we play at the City of Manchester Stadium and you play at Old Trafford. Simple as that. Go have a walk down market street one day (if you can be bothered with the lenghty bus journey) and see what colours dominate, reds or blues.

I don't mind united that much at all, to be fair. I'm an immigrant supporter, only found football for myself of late and started supporting my local team, as I had moved to Manchester in 2006, so maybe I do not get the rivalry quite as well as I should..but I enjoyed watching united play, when they had Tevez on the pitch... If I could have had just ONE player from every PL club, he would've been my pick from united.

A counterargument to city fans here as well, the debt has only really become an issue in the financial crisis now, otherwise debt-funding is a normal business strategy that has quite a few advantages over dealing purely in cash, depending on the strategic situation of the organisation. It may make sense for us to deal in cash (not convinced we do fully, I believe that's just an assumption we have), but not for a normal company.
