A WARNING TO HAMBURG AKA HSV

Gotta love all this post match banter!
Schalke did not have the fans on there back when we beat them fair and square last year, as the season has gone they have fair enough.
We are not afraid of you lot, we have 2 of your best players and one will not even be playing.
Hamburg you are going out boys!
It may turn out to be a wastefull journey coming over here for the 2nd leg, and if it is please pass on your City end tickets to Blues on here that are without! ;-) cheers HSV

Martin Jol = Your having a laugh! ;-)

We're not afraid of you lot either mate ;-). We've won every single away game so far in the UEFA Cup this season. I would point and laugh at the pitful way you surrendered your 2-0 first leg lead against friggin Aalborg...but then they did do over Deportivo and even gave the rags a tough time at the rubbish tip too. But still.... ;-)

Two of our best players... One of whom was injured for 90% of the time that he was here and when he did play, he was largely ineffective - even being sent home this time last season, or thereabouts, because he. I've mentioned several times how whilst de Jong was a good player for us, his departure hasn't been missed that much, mainly due to other players slotting in and doing well.

Oh and btw, Kevin Keegan was a legend for us and always will be. European Footballer of the Year TWICE in our colours. For you, he was just another name in and out the revolving managerial door ;-)

Banters great. As long as there's no personal insults thrown about :-) In all honesty, whilst I am mainly undecided on how the two games will pan out and who will progress...ya still gotta stick up for your club when there's banter around ;-)

There is one thing going for ya though mate...and that's your name, haha.

You are one point off the top of the German league so I expect a very good team. I still feel we wil go through over the 2 legs; afterall, we all know the premiership is hyped but the quality of football is far superior to Germany. That is a fact.

Oh come on let's not bring King Kev of the Toon into this!
You will be shouting for Shearer next when we knock you off your unsecure position.
Wolfsburg did you over at home not too long since, we can do the same.
Only one team going through so don't come on here being too upset when it's not your lot ;-)

Shearer's got bugger all to do with us or me really. Although I do laugh when I hear this "if there's one man to get them out of the mire, its Alan" crap. It's really comical.

Yeah Wolfsburg took our undefeated home record this season, but considering their form and where they are in the table. That's no embarrassment. You lot haven't won 8 games in a row (never will either, haha) and you haven't a disicplinarian with Bundesliga and Champions League medals tucked in top pocket for a manager either. So taking that into account, as well as your often-rambled shite away form...ain't no chance you're gonna win here.

If you do somehow manage to go through (and that's a big IF, with the large bold font) then I will congratulate you on progressing and state that as an Englishman, I hope City go on to win the whole damn thing :-)

But as I said...big IF with large bold font ;-)

Oh and if Petric can score a winner to end the dreams of anything English once before, then he can sure as hell do it again in two weeks...

(That last comment hurt me writing it as much as it did you reading it :-( but hey, grab hold of anything when banter is involved ;-))

fair play to ya matt. your a fan of your team and you will stick up for them of course. i like the way you know that the red scum are rags. we are all very excited about being so far in the competition. we havn't been this far in europe for 30 years. we really feel like its our year. but having watched the friendly earlier on in the season i know hsv are a really good team. i have no idea how this one will turn out but we have to pray it will be city who will be at istanbul in may. good luck though fella.

Keep Olic (7) and Petric (5) quiet for 180 minutes and we'll go through. Question is: can we do that.

Need to play at really high tempo.

If Bellamy, Robbie, Ireland and SWP start next week, I think we'll get a positive result.

Not sure on the rules for the language here, so apologies when I say I fucking detest those cunts as much as you guys do.

Actually, our fan club has organised a stadium tour of the shit heap and asked me to go as well, as our photographer to take pics of people posing in the stands and in the museum. Moments to savour or some shit like that.

Two word reply, ending with "off" :-D

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it as well. Both games. As I said before, as much as I run my mouth with the banter - I've totally no idea as who will come through or what will happen either. It's been fun on this forum too, alot of friendly guys who have made it easier for myself and other Hamburg fans to come on here and exchange info and tips about our respective teams and cities. So in all honesty, good luck to you guys too :-)

The Villa already learned something about this 'fact', the City will learn next week.

That was a very very weak villa side that night i remember the mall whining on tv about them putting a weak side out as they wanted to concentrate on their league form..

but as results go, we also beat villa but a much stronger villa side at home with out conceding a goal
so 2shay :)
