About those "big changes" for the Leeds game...

people actualy want Rodwell in the team , god help us.

I don't want Rodwell playing.

"the lad has potential" I hear you cry.

Well I hope he fulfils that potential away from City whilst keeping another clubs physio's happy with all the overtime they will undoubtedly have, nursing him back from another injury.

He isn't the answer, it isn't his fault, but he isn't the type of player we require if we have any aspirations of kicking on.

And, Mancini (and the players) would be daft to underestimate Leeds in the FA Cup.

On paper we would win every day of every week........unfortunately, football isn't a science and they are going to be up for this game beyond belief - we're a huge scalp.

Not being cocky here but Chelsea turned up to Elland Road in disarray earlier in the season and won 5-1.

2nd in the league is hardly what I would call disarray. Should win this comfortably.

Anyone who was surprised about the performance against Southampton shouldn't have been. It's been coming for months. Symptomatic of a laisez-faire attitude all season - regardless of the lack of summer signings - you mentally rest on your laurels or drop off 5% when everyone is gunning for you then you will eventually get caught out.

Last point - for all the Gaz Baz knockers -the Liverpool/Southampton performances were bound to come - he has basically been doing the job of two midfielders with Yaya mentally on holiday all season (probably due to lack of competition) and Garcia in the team basically to block of the lines and win balls in the air - for a guy his age - he has had far too much ground to cover - the guy is knackered!

Probably get hammered for this but why has Yaya escaped the grief? He put in a dreadful display on sat and it wasn't the first time this season. Is it in his contract that he has to play? They ran rings around him on sat and he appeared to have the turning circle of a hgv.

sadly true, he's good on the ball but terrible off it.

I won't hammer you. IMHO he should have never started against Southampton, certainly not at the expense of Milner who has been amazing.

Zab needs a rest.

Hart doesn't play in the cup and now is definitely not the time to change that.

Nasti and Komps may fit.

Maicon and Rodders should be fit.

Barry needs dropping to get his head back.

Nasri and Silva don't play well together.

Given the above the "big changes" aren't that difficult to comprehend.

Admittedly Barry had a shocker but week in week out he has been one of our most consistent players and we are much less of a team without him. Games like last week ciome around every now and again but Barry should be given the chance to set the record straight.
