well said bill.
the rags will always find a way to have a pop. just ignore them.
when i was a kid everybody else seemed to be in a shitty sharp shirt, i was the only one on non-uniform day donning the kappa brilliance.
it's a breath of fresh air to see so many youngsters in blue.
All fair points.. perhaps it was insensitive of me and maybe I should grow a pair haha.
Surely we can take something from this particular message board, clearly we all value the clubs efforts and dedication to attract the next generation. There are many of you that are not bothered by the empty seats, as long as we continue to grow I can understand that.
However, the empty seats have irritated many of us. Whilst articulating the point has proved difficult, I think there's enough posts on here to justify a review on the matter.
It doesn't look convincing to say its a sell out then see many empty spaces however I am not sure what the club can do all the S/C I know either give games they cannot make to m8's or put them on here to sell . I agree Viagogo is not the solution and actually where I am 109 never see an empty seat so not sure how big the problem is would interested to know what your review would see as a successful outcome ?
Part of the consideration for city is stopping banned people who can get in via swaps and unofficial sales. Using the access card and viagogo they can disable these and it provides some safeguards . As MCFC are criminally liable if banned people get and cause bother or harm during a game they will be ultra cautious about having a free for all or trying to impose use your seat order with S/Cs. They have miserably failed to stop smoking in the bogs so heaven knows how anyone would enforce a compulsory attendance requirement
Because all the S/C have sold out, does it make the preception of the problem bigger than it is? most seasons latley even with sold out signs there have been empty seats ( MU excepted) so maybe we are being a little sensitive to an issue that doesn't have a obvious remedy apart from next time the person(s) in the empty seat(s) is at the match ask them why ? and could they lend their card so another fan if they are busy /cannot make games
social capital rather than coercion might be more fruitful
