Adam Johnson is our 3rd best player.

He's a talented boy without doubt, but he needs to work on his stamina and also his final ball. If you look at how many times Silva plays the simple ball compared to Johnson the difference is staggering. If he improves in this area he will be able to fit into Mancini's system and possession style of football.

Boby wants to give freedom to Silva so he can do what he does, so why not:

______________Tévez______________

Boateng isn't a wing back so for me AJ on the right makes sense, sure he's predictable but he can still get the upper hand on most teams even when they double/triple Mark him.

Kolarov though is obviously a wing back so Balotelli on Tévezs left shoulder makes sense also, so Balo can cut in or just play like a central striker whilst Kolarov has the left wing.

Fair enough, stick Barry or Milner in there when we play teams like Chelsea & Utd, but against teams like the ones we've been playing recently, we shouldn't need more than 2 DMs, especially when we've been drawing 0-0 or scoring 1.

That could work at home against the lesser sides but not away.

When he plays, he's there to create.

James Milner 4 assists
Adam Johnson 0 assists
Milner has played about 10 more games than AJ, and most of the time AJ has been on the pitch this season has been for the last 15 mins, so he has only touched the ball about 10 times this season, so you can't expect him to get 4 assists.

Milner has been poor this season yet he has more assists than AJ, I think that was the point WNRH was making, and AJ has had games where he has started.

Patrick Vieria 1 assist, 1 goal
Adam Johnson 0 assist, 2 goals

I don't want him to go but if he does leave then I wont be arsed if he can't be arsed to fight for his place.

edit: also if he is our 3rd best player then there's a MASSIVE gap in quality between our 2nd and 3rd best players!

Including first team and sub apperances
Milner has played 12 games in all comps.
AJ has played 15 in all comps.

That's what I mean, but the bigger teams play attacking football all the time (home and away, against lesser teams that is)
