Adam Wharton

He won 6 out of his 8 duels and isn't an attacking midfielder, like McAtee. The comparison is mad. Our academy hasn't produced a player like Wharton, despite years of trying.
O'Reilly has a good base to work from IMO, great first touch and awareness. A season alongside Rodri and Kova will do him well, could be a really big player for us in the future.

I have liked everything about this lad for a while but yesterday made me ponder. He walks funny. Like a John Wayne swagger. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

Wasn't that because we were interested in Phillips?
Once we bought him, Lavia left....i wish we turn the clock back on that decision!
bit of both. Lavia didnt have the experience Phillips had, and we didnt have to time available to give him. He's still in the same mould now, great ball winner not sure he can run a game from the DM as we need/use.

I don't think Lavia's exit was because we bought Kalvin.

We at the time thought Lavia was injury prone and needed time to prove himself, so we sold him to go develop with a buy back.

It was fully expected he would be back at City, but Chelsea just offered him a big money deal that he couldn't resist and we couldn't because we had to be meticulous with our books.

It's okay though.. because I have a feeling Perrone and Nico will have higher peaks and be better than Lavia in the long run.
