Adama Traore

I'm impressed with him. Best player on the pitch last night includiing Liverpool players. Was dribbling past their FBs for fun. His ball control in tight space is good. He created a great chance for Raul Jimenez with an excellent through ball. I'm going to follow his further development.

I think a player like him might be very useful for us when we struggle to pass through the lines and need someone to carry the ball, create chances for himself and cause panic and chaos. If Pep decides we need something different, I will be happy to get him, provided Sane goes. Pep will make him better and more of a team player.
 
Would be disappointed if we spunked a load of dosh on Adama Traore. Better players out there if we want another winger and cheaper. To be honest I don’t even think we are interested, just 2 and 2 put together because he scored against us twice.
 
If football was a sport of carrying the ball from point A to point B like in american football he'd probably be the best in the world. He's a world class at being a dribbling merchant, who has proven to have a decent crossing and great at tracking back. Shame he isn't left footed or we could've thrown him at left back and he'd do a great job as some of his weaknesses would've been masked with laporte as a LCB. Shame.
 
Don't rate him myself. Unfortunately, I repeatedly told my son how shit he is during both our games against them season...

At least if we bought him, he'd stop scoring and getting assists against us!
 
This transfer doesn't really matter anymore I think, it made sense when his price was reasonable, but now if we are talking 80m (smashing our highest record paid for a player), it will not happen.

Would have loved him at a more reasonable 30m. I'm still upset we lost Sancho (goal and assist AGAIN right now), but I think that's never happening sadly.
 
Good player and has the raw attributes Pep could improve and work with but :
1.He's predominantly a right winger..able to play on the left wing yes but not as potent
2.Wolves would demand close to 100 M £ or even more..they don't need the money and have European ambitions of their own..There are better options for that price bracket there are better options on the market ie.Sancho for sb who is very inconsistent with his performances
 
I haven't watched him more than against us and highlights against other opposition, but I don't understand why he even has a thread on this forum. He's pacey, but so what? That alone doesn't cut in in my book.
And he tends to make a whole lot of runs in questionable directions, just because has has the speed to do it. Maybe he has a problem with his sense of direction?

Lots of criticism of Traore is similar to what Sterling faced prior to Pep's arrival. Only has pace, can't cross, can't finish etc. So I think if Pep worked with him he'd improve on a lot of aspects of his game. As far as him being a right winger, supposedly so is Sterling. I mean of course they may be better on the right side, but you have to look at patterns of play and how they are being used. One facet is the cross coming from the right in De Bruyne and now with Cancelo. It's the winger on the far post having the pace to get behind the defender for tap ins. Think back to Sterlings header against Spurs where Kev put in a pin point perfect ball. So if Traore can finish those and with the width coming from Mendy whipping crosses in he could play on the left. When things aren't working Pep switches the wingers around so he could go to his natural right hand side.

This kid has been bloody useless until the last couple of months when he is having a purple patch,he doesn't play like he did against us very often
He would be up there with our record signings cost wise

Not worth silly money but think you are severely underestimating him.
