Additional time

Where the fuck did he get eight mins in the second half to add on ? This will be ridiculous , we lost because they are being over enthusiastic
Its a new shiny rule, so like kids at xmas with a new toy those in charge have to use it to show everyone how good it is + city were winning 1-0 so no better time to see if it works and it did :-)

5-6 mins will be average for first half extra time and 9-12 for second half imo.

some of the crazy refs especially once red tops are chasing the game will do simple 2 x 15 minutes extra time. :)

probably been mentioned already, however, shouldn't there have been at least another couple of minutes added on for their goal celebrations? That would have meant that there should have been enough time to play out city's break at the end (when the ref blew for full time).

You can't add 2 mins if 1 mins was left, so who knows?

The bookings were for delaying the start of play. Something that’s also new this season and was explained to all players before the season started.

It was also explained on Bluemoon in the thread about the new rule changes for this season. Just like the increased amount of added time as per IFABs direction (just like in the World Cup).

Considering how many of our fans, me included, get fucking frustrated by time wasting when it goes against us, I’m not sure why everyone’s having a fanny wobble now.

It’s gone against us once, but will be far more likely to benefit us (as we score the highest number of goals per minute and usually concede the fewest).
Pretty much nailed it there.

Think once injury time starts the stadium clock should be stopped for any further stoppages until the full injury time is played out. Then again think at stadium clock stopping throughout the game until the 90 is up is the wqay forward.

If the technology is there to work out that Bernardo has run 13k in a game whilst everyone else has only ran 9.5k , also Rodri has had 785 passes with a completion rate of 99% whilst Slab head has fucked his own team over for 63% of the game, then surely the technology is available to state exactly how much time the ball has actually been in play and how much time is actually remaining.
There is and it’s clocked every game. But time in play has never been something. The average is 54-55 mins per game in the PL.

The daft thing about the new rules is how long a player stays off after a so-called injury. les arse player goes down with no-one near him. The game stops (time-out) for 3 minutes. Player goes off then comes back on 30 seconds later. The rule should be that you are off the amount of time you were down.

I would prefer a shorter game but stop the clock every time there is an injury, goal or substitution, like rugby. Also keep playing after the allotted time until the ball goes out of play.
