Adebayor charged (Merged)

I like that trendy little Adidas badge on the front of fattys head in the yellow shirt, and wtf is Peter Kay doing in the bottom left? I thought he was a Bolton fan?

arhh love it:)

The guy in the black shirt, with long black hair who jumps over the fat guy looks like he is saying "fucking ni**er, fucking nig--_" and then the video is cut off.

Think he's saying "you facking c*nt, you facking c*nt" mate

...i like the little bloke getting swamped at the front, going down under his fornicating bastard colleagues, trying desperately to get up...

Looking at the video evidence I believe that whatever ban he gets is fully justified, he has to take responsibility for his actions on the pitch no matter what provocation and the simple fact is that he has let himself down, the club down and more importantly the fans as well.

It looks as if he is going to miss at least three matches, more than likely five and if you add that to what he is going to potentially miss in January it could add up to possibly ten matches, this my dear friends is more than a quarter of our premiership matches.

He will be sorely missed on Sunday, with him in the side and the form he has already shown I truly believed that we held the upper hand, now I am not so sure.

Well its a 3 match ban for the alleged stamp and possibly an extra match for the "Improper conduct" charge for the celebration. The club quite rightly are just taking the 3 games for the stamp as no way an appeal would be successful and then they could increase the ban.

I thought he would get 5 matches for the alleged stamp the way the media were going after him, so you could say thats a win for us anyway as there was definately pressure for a more serious punishment.

In our favour there is no precedent for a player celebrating on the field of play and getting a retrospective ban it would seem.

The closest case would be Neville a couple of years ago running down the pitch and celebrating in front of the kop every bit as bad more so given the manc - scouse rivalry he got a £5 k fine. We seem to have said we will take a fine but it will be a legal challenge if they try to give him an extra ban for the celebration especially as he already received a yellow card for the offence.

There is the Nathan Tyson case which he has to respond to by Friday. If he gets a ban it seems certain they will try to do the same to Ade.

Given the complete over reaction of the press and witch hunt than ensued I think we are doing well if he only ends up sereving a 3 game ban I was very worried he would get at least 6 overall with the mass hysteria and bias.
