Ade ia 100% adamant that he will not take a single penny less than his £180K a week for the FULL length of his contract regardless of what happens. If he trains with the kids - then fine if he's being paid £180K a week. If he doesn't play at all - fine, just pay me £180K a week please. Move to Spurs? Fine - just cut the deal so i get paid out the equivilant of £180K for the full term of my contract. I know the landlord of the house he rented when he was playing for us. He also paid cash out of his own money to have an indoor swimming pool fitted in the house! You couldn't make it up!

Why in the world would he ask for a pay rise?

Stand by for some horrendous press from Ade spouting off about how poorly he's been treated. Big bad City .

I don't know, the press has almost started to turn and question Ade's desire as a professional. I don't think the press will go after us on this issue. I think most people see him as someone who could have been great, but is lazy and doesn't care. He has every right from a business aspect to refuse a move. But to give up years of your career (when in your prime) for a few extra £'s looks bad.

He won't get it for the full length unless spuds pay it.

Maybe the penny has dropped that if he sits on his arse for two years at city nobody will be willing to offer him the next 3 at 90 or 100 grand spurs are currently offering. No doubt he will be getting the 175 grand for the next 2 years through a signing on fee if he moves but then he still gets a great wage after that. Sit at city for 2 years with little to no football and I can't see teams cueing up to give him 50 grand never mind double that, maybe he has started thinking long term

Until the ink is dried on Ade's contract I will not believe anything.
Agreed thought this transfer was done a couple of weeks ago.

Hope he just pisses off soon. Can't be arsed with all these hangers on.
