Exactly. One minute Durham's 'on our side' the next he's totally against us.

What pissed me off was after a hard days work I get in the car just in time for the 5 o'clock news on Talkshite to hear i think it was the moose say that Ade has a 25k fine and a 2 match ban with a long enough pause to really really piss me off before he says it's suspended for 2 years.

thought it was suspended until the end of this year???

Re: Adebayor hearing thread

As to be expected from the numpties at the FA, the only one who is worse is Gordon Taylor, no doubt he was at the hearing sticking up for his member. Have no made another rod foe their back to go with the previous sentence on Ade. Is nobody asking Mr Clatenburg why he didn't see the Van Persie incident, stood 4 yards away and why after booking him for an over exuberant celebration, he changed it to time wasting. Is he for real. Bet he gets our Villa game.

Re: TALKSHITE ON ADE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!

Thought he said 2 years but I was suffering from short term torrets at the time.

Re: Suggest A Safe/P... Take celebration for Ade

If he scores against Villa, he should rape someone, then run and give Richard Dunne a kick, then run off the pitch to the villa fans shouting "fuck off" then finally have a whinge on the MCFC website - he should manage all that without being done for taking too much time up celebrating...

Re: Adebayor hearing thread

Although it does mean that Ade misses no games as the 2 match ban is suspended the club should still fight it.

1 Ade was yellow carded for it no matter how trumped up the ref was persuaded to make his official reason.
2 van Persie celebrated in front of City fans including offensive language and because we all behaved ourselves unlike the arsenal fans he gets away with it.
3 Neville celebrates in front of City fans (his second offence) after being told the first time to watch his behavior and all he gets is a ticking off.

The real reason Ade has been hit with this punishment is because he was tried in the media before any investigation could take place with Arsenal and others with a vested interest stoking up the negative side. The FA are so spineless they did not dare come out with anything other than the media had told them to do. So because they knew that City would rightly react to a straight ban they suspend it in the belief that it will all just go away now. Well don’t let them get away with this City show them we will not be used as a whipping boy - seek arbitration from the sporting body that deals with this and keep the FA on the hook. Next time they will know not to take us lightly.

Run as fast as he can to the centre circle without celebrating. And the whole squad do the same! lol

Re: Adebayor hearing thread

I wonder if the FA have a new rule where you get fined what ever shirt number you have x's a thousand?
Or perhaps it's the number of kiddie porn images they have downloaded on their computers.
Ade's a big awkward lad, he very likely to catch someone with an elbow then he'll be banned for 5 games I guess.

Re: Adebayor hearing thread

This was always the most likely outcome. Adebayor is available for selection, and Whatmore saves face. Recent events (G.Neville at the derby) suggest that Adebayor shouldn't worry about the suspended ban. The fine is heavier than I imagined, but still amounts to less than 25% of his weekly wage.

On the other hand, the statement points the finger squarely at the Arsenal fans who abused him. All that's left is for a few of those who reacted violently to be identified and banned by Arsenal.

All in all, a decent result. Now it's time to draw a line under the hysteria of the last month, and concentrate on the forthcoming games: Villa should be a classic!
