Adebayor (merged)

Aye when he's interested. This is the guy who's agents were trying to get Chelsea to buy him late last night. IMO his heart is not in this move and he's only coming because no-one else can afford him or wants him. If his hearts not in it I doubt he'll be bursting a gut for us or looking anything like world class. I just hope I'm wrong but I remain to be convinced this is a good deal for everyone concerned.

Nah, worst case scenario is he has to impress at City to move on to Milan and that would only be if we failed to get top 4.

Even then City don't have to sell so he needs to commit for 4-5 years and I think that is what he has accepted by taking a couple of days to decide.

He will be a big part in City's future.

I really do hope we get him.

He is honestly one of my favourite striker in the world. He is an out and out goalscorer when playing regularly and his attitude has become stereotyped really. Nice and funny guy IMO. Wouldn't have dreamed of him signing before he was linked with us.

Does anyone know why it hasn't appeared online? Did they realise it was complete bollocks?

It was on one website (the mail I think) but I reckon some of the media had it in for Ade and wanted to try and hurt his reputation or make City fans doubt him.

There are lots of people with agendas in the media. Arsenal fans for example.

I can confirm Adebayor has passed his Manchester City medical around 15 minutes ago with no problems.

Source?

Himself, Stu works for City in the 'medical' department. Not specifically conducting medicals, more the analysing results and medical histories, injuries and training regimes etc.

Me too mate. I've always really like him.

I was shocked when we were linked. He's a striker who Barca, Milan etc would all want but we have got him.

It's a bigger statement than getting Tevez or Robby.

City are really, REALLY going to be big players soon.

does anybody think all this negativity regarding adebayor is a bit fickle , two weeks ago it was eto two months ago drogba , do you think they would of been coming for the shirt? maybe were gonna have to get used to the baggage that comes with all top players regarding attitude and egos. give the lad a chance you never know might be worth a tenner for the golden boot :)

Yeah, I saw the Mail story but SSN definitely showed the Guardian sports page with a huge Adebayor-Chelsea headline.

I'm just curious why they never put it online. Did someone give them the nod that it was rubbish?

16.19 Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that striker Emmanuel Adebayor is undergoing a medical at Eastlands ahead of his proposed switch from Arsenal.

Will SSN be there like they were for Tevez?

Really hope so. No sign of that so far. They normally get there early if anythings happening.

Maybe they are rushing a crew there now.
