still think we need another midfielder, if ireland gets injured of suffers a lack of form theres no one to push him if elano goes.

Wright-Phillips?
Petrov?

and possibly johnson

says in the london evening standard he wants more money than robinho, the only thing that worries me if any of these players dont work out for whatever reason, the wages they are on we wont be unable to unload them, cause nobody will pay the wages that we are paying.

And I've been wondering, what with all these astronomical wages we're paying.. will we be breaking even in next year's accounts? ;-)

Petrov won't get anywhere near the midfield if we're playing 3 up top. He'd just weaken us too much. He'll only play in a 4-4-2 or a proper 4-5-1 (i.e. one with 5 actual midfielders, not two wide strikers dropping back).

Maybe SWP could cover for Ireland, but I think it's important we keep hold of Elano for this very reason. A resurgence from Johnson would be much appreciated too.

Its amazing how none of the papers had a clue until SSN announced we were interested and then all of a sudden they know the ins and outs of the deal. Pure guesswork. The sun, who have said we are paying 60 million have included all the wages on top of the fee to make it look sensationalist, however they say his wages are to be around 130k a week.

Vlad Weiss not be ready for the big time quite yet, but I think he's a fantastic talent and I'd like to see him play at least 5-10 games... Just give him cup run-outs and perhaps sub apps against Hull/Wolves etc :)

It works both ways though, despite what the papers would have you believe Robinho had a great 1st season in the Prem and its likely many clubs would love to secure his services but not many players would take a huge paycut to go elsewhere so it should also make it easier for us to hang on to our best players like Robbie!

No chance he'll play Lescott left back ~(if he comes) and the midfield would be slightly different.

Possibly Zab for Richards and possibly SWP for Tevez. That's my 11.

The Sun know precisely jack-shit about his wages,as they know precisely jack-shit about anything else.
Why people still scratch their heads in bewilderment when the "red tops" and Shitesport get things wrong is beyond me.
In the absence of truth they print speculative bullshit - not just on sport, but on news as well.
I stopped believing anything that Murdoch's lying tabloids printed around the time my balls dropped.
