bluemoondays said:Bit peeved about only £8m but that plus losing his wages of £150k/week (ish) means we are getting in around £24m for a player we are never going to use. It'd be different if we used him as, personally, I wouldn't add in his wages then. That statement maybe doesn't make financial sense but it's how I feel.
He isn't going to be replaced as he hasn't been used for 2 seasons, assuming when Tevez goes we'll get a replacement (4th choice) striker in based on his transfer. We'll probably keep Guidetti as 4th choice next season based on his showing in the Eredvisie.
Let's face it, once Ade gets his permanent move theres a >70% chance he'll turn into the mard-arse, lazy, permanently offside striker that he was when we loaned him out.
Just losing Ade will make our annual accounts £12.5m better (£5m amortisation and £7.5m wages). Put another way, our £160m loss (excluding the one-off write-off) just went down from £160m to £147.5m with one transfer - a reduction in losses of 8%.

I agree with you on most of what you said except the red part.
If Mancini can't utilize a player like Adebayor, doesn't mean other managers can't !
He is one of the main reasons why Spurs are still title contenders.
