Adebayor to Spurs

Unplayable on his day, but unfortunately those days don't come around enough, manly because he is lazy. He probably suffered more from tevez's work rate then his goals. Spuds are welcome to him, as long as he doesn't play against us. He can go and be offside down there for a season and hopefully play well against Chelski Arsenal and the rags.

I wasn't sure about this at first but it now seems to have an element of sense to it all, i don't think that the Spuds are going to challenge us this season and therefore loaning them Ade is not a great threat to us. on the plus side he may just cause problems for teams including the dippers, Chelsea and the Rags and hopefully take a couple of points from them.

all the time we are saving on wages, keeping an unhappy player away from the squad but still retain his registration, if he is a hit with the Spuds there may well be a few offers coming in for him that would be higher than if he was just sat in our reserves.

After the two years he's had, what else can you say apart from "good luck"?

well said, exactly my thoughts - lets not be bitter when players leave, unlike the glory hunting gooners; all the best Ade, although I hope spurs do badly whilst you do well

As I've posted on a earlyer thread. I would be amazed if the deal doesn't have some sort of first dibs on bale ( if we want him and if he lives up to the last seasons level this year) clause involved within it.

No, i'd figured that much

How can i begin to explain to someone that wont understand and is less intelligent than what i am?.........never mind eh!

I salute you for recognising in just two posts that I suffer from Epistemophobia.

will anybody be sad to see ade leave???

Yeah, I will to be honest. Top footballer, and a great guy.

Shame so many people choose to treat him like a twat. Guess the manager set the trend though...

Billy cant think of anything he actually did for us after the first four games and the Arsenal celebration, I also think you will find it was Mark hughes who set the ball rolling not Mancini. If I remember right MH had fell out with both robiniho and Ade and had them sat on the bench against sunderland the day he was sacked.
MH new which players had let him down and Ade was definatley one of them. Ade has just been clever this time round to not slag the fans like he did at Arsenal, the guy has been a complete waste of money from Citys point of view. rant over

Ade was great until we played Arsenal after which he lost the will to prove a point. It will repeat itself at Tottenham. All that " Not feeling the love" bollocks annoyed me any man that gifted but choosing not to use his assets does not deserve the gifts he's been blessed with.

will ade play againest us on sunday? i thought loaned players dont play againest thier teams?

He cannot play against us.
We should insist!

Fook no, you know what Adebayor is like against teams he has vendettas against, he'd bag a 10 minute hattrick against us. :P
No he wouldn't! He'd be sent off after the first knee-slide....

Loan to Spurs looks as if it will be the best we will get at present.

Spurs will be stronger with Adebayor and better equipped to take points off our title rivals. Just hope Spurs come back at the end of the season and buy him outright.

Inter were interested as well apparently as they just sold eto for 25 million and lost 250k a week from their wage bill.

Why hasn't this been confirmed yet btw....
