If anything happens with Spurs it will be permanent. We wont loan him to them at all IMO.

Its important to remember Real did offer to sign him permanently they were just not willing to pay the £14million fee we wanted. The rumour is they only offered £6 million.

I find him rather clueless and think he needs upgrading upon if you are to win the league ever. And you should be looking at winning the league considering you've spent the equivalent of USA's national debt on transfers.

Whats amusing now is that spurs are creaming themselves over a deal for citys joint 5th choice striker, what a deal for them. Now watch the press go mad about how adebayor is a wonderful striker and redknapp will get the best out of him, just like he did with crouch, pavluychenko and defoe, just like he did with gomes etc etc
But the question is what is the deal ?
The club have to be very careful, we have a fair bit of dead wood to get rid of it matters how we handle getting rid of players like Adebayor.
Our fans are not going to accept giving charity to a club like spurs. It would make us look like idiots, weak in the market and make it impossible to get any sort of decent deal on the other players we have to get rid of.
In the past we have been very poor at this, letting Robinho take the piss and go on loan back to Brazil being the prime example.
I have confidence the club is being more professionaly run now but we will see.

You are completely missing the point.
If we do this for him it sends completely the wrong message. We would have to write off any transfer fee for him but also Bellamy, Bridge, RSC.
It might even effect our ability to sell Tevez, SWP and Nedum. It makes us look like a complete walk over in the market and will affect all future transfer business.
People need to show a bit of common sense and look at the big picture. Its going to be impossible to justify loaning a player like Adebayor to a rival in the league let alone pay part of the wages.
Surely people understand this ?
