Adebayor vs Dzeko

I really dont understand some people.

1. Ade is poison, he sulks if hes not picked for every game which doesnt suit our rotation policy in any way shape or form. Why would we want that back?

2. Sometimes he puts a shift in, most of the time he doesnt. (he probably gives half effort 3/4 games in 10)

3. Dzeko has a better scoring rate than Ade this season and Dzeko is someone who has been in and out of the team, whereas the whole team is built around Ade. So again, why would we want him back??

Adebayor is benefitting from being in the Spurs system. He would do fuck all in Mancini's style.

If Dzeko played on the Spurs team in the starting 11, he would have 20+ goals by now, no doubt.

I understand your skepticism but I know what he can do. He's struggled to play consistently yet still has 12 goals. Don't underestimate the importance of playing in a system that plays to your strengths. Look at how Suarez, Carroll, and Torres have struggled to fit in.

Dzeko plays well in an organized system that makes him the focus of the attack, when he makes a run knowing the ball will be there. He would score a lot of goals.

If Dzeko dosn't fit our system the choice is change the team or change dzeko.

Dzeko and Ade are too similar, we need to sell both and bring in someone who fits in with the rest of the team. Hate to say it but Tevez would be perfect if he wasnt a ****.

I still hate the way our fans treated Adebayor, I used to hear people slagging him off for not being able to head the ball on every single occasion, but he could score from a header, was pretty quick, had some silky skills, and could score, what more can you ask from a striker?

Actually, you are mostly right. Was just watching a compilation of his 66 league goals a week back. You need a powerful and accurate aerial crosser like bale for Dzeko, which we just dont have. If Dzeko played with bale at any club, He will have 30 goals in the season already. They are the perfect combination. its not just the system to be honest.

At the beginning of the season I said I am not sure If Dzeko is better than Ade, and some of the posters here were laughing and accused me of knowing nothing about football !

I also said, Adebayor will make Spurs title contenders instead of TOP 4 contenders and I got the same response.

Oh well, continue your laugh. :)

What I generally believe is that Adebayor has already reached his maximum potential while Dzeko still has a shift he has yet to show us.

Adebayor has 10 goals in 22 starts.
Dzeko has 12 in 14, having played 640 minutes less.
Not that far-fetched.

Ade does have more assists.

But have to LOL at some of the comments above.
