If he is on 175k a week with us and Spurs are offering him £110k a week (If that is true) then he is down £65k a week. That is £3.4 million a season over the 2 seasons he has left with us. A total of £6.8m. If Spurs are getting him for £5m then surely they would be paying him the difference of £6.8m as part of that deal. Adebayor is not a £5m player he is a £15m player and therefore his loss of wages are built into the price.

Or am I missing something obvious? Surely he doesnt think any club would pay him £175k a week after his 2 years with us is up.

That's my understanding of it as well.

Re: Adebayor

It seems Levy wants only to pay us the 5m and the 110K per week to Ade. In fact what he should be doing is paying us 5m, Ade 6m (covering wages lost) and 110K on top is the way I understand it. Which means on Levy's logic if we want Ade to go to Spurs, they pay us 5m, we pay 6m to ade and then Spurs pay Ade 110K per week.

Re: Adebayor

Plus we helped Arsenal build their new stadium with the proceeds and cemented MCFC as the one true love of Wenger because he could ship out all his talented players to us enabling MCFC to ultimately win the prem league. :-)

If true, WTF were we thinking offering him £175k a week. Madness.

Maybe he wouldn't have left Arsenal otherwise?

And we could have signed Rodallega instead, or maybe Darren Bent...

Re: Adebayor

Personally feel a loan deal with City paying 99% of his wages would be a decent deal in the eyes of Levy.
