I have said it before he made a difference for us when he arrived and took us up a level in terms of signings. Yes we gave Arsenal more than he was really worth in terms of transfer and wages, yes we have to honour that contract. It is a pity that he is not a Mancini type player otherwise this thread would not exist and Ade would be playing for us, but all managers have an opinion on players his face doesn't fit and therefore it will be a devil of a job to get him off to a new club. Wherever he goes I would still thank him for what he did for us (in a limited time) and wish him well for the future.

If i was dedicated to playing football i would! Seriously what can you suddenly not do with £100k a week that you could do with £175k a week? Why should Adebayor not try to get the best deal for himself ?

Did he spend last season sat on his arse ? Did he lose any money ?

Adebayor played football & got his wages last season. Why the fuck should he not try to do the same this season, just to make it easy for the world's richest club ? Think about it ffs. He doesn't owe City, he's an employee. Use your brains like he is doing.

I don't get why he is more of a mercenary than any other footballer?

If my company told me they wanted me to fuck off but I was contracted for two years but they had got me a job with another company who were prepared to have me but for a few hundred quid a week less I'd tell them to fuck off. Which is exactly what everybody else on this board would do.

Just cos he earns shedloads we think he should go cos it suits us.

If he was playing for us and Spurs came in and offered him a deal we'd be moaning like fuck.

Also the same people who think we should just offer more to RvP and Martinez to get them to come here are then arguing that money should mean less to EA.

I'd like to see him gone but lets face it, it's our fault he's still here. At least he has a value to sell unlike RSC.

IIRC the only one on their books at the mo is Defoe and he's not exactly a happy bunny.
