Re: Adebayor

Read on another site that the deal is almost done, don't know whether bullshit or not, whether wind up or not. Please don't ask for a link it isn't worth it just a poster saying he had heard almost complete.

Re: Adebayor

He must be meeting Spurs over in the US as he has been spotted watching a game in New York. Any issues are not down to us as they must of agreed a fee.

Re: Adebayor

Levy has had family problems I hear so I am assuming that is what is holding up any deal. I believe we are in a strong position on this one and have made a fair compromise whether Spurs (Levy) sees it that way I have no real idea. But as posters have commented if he is in USA I have confidence it will be resolved to satisfaction of City, Spurs and player.

His wife is pretty ill by all accounts in a New York hospital afaik.

Re: Adebayor

An article yesterday had AVB stating that Daniel Levy's wife was I'll. A few weeks ago, newspapers were claiming that Levy's mother had passed away.

Re: Adebayor

I'm amazed at the hatred towards Adebayor that I've witnessed on this thread.
Fact is that when he signed for Manchester City both parties entered into a binding contract and he's exercised nothing except his moral, ethical and contractual rights under the laws of England & Wales.
I'm as frustrated as the next blue re all the faffing about but he simply doesn't deserve to be badmouthed for expecting us to honour a contract that we persuaded him to sign . .
Now that contract may have ultimately proven to be short-sighted on the part of our club but we entered into it with the advice of the clubs solicitors, financiers and football experts . . we weren't forced into it, we used what we thought to be all due diligence and we fucked up.
Our stupidity shouldn't be cause to aim misguided and ignorant hate at a guy who we all cheered not so long ago - that goal against the Arse and the long run to celebrate in front of their furious fans . . for a moment he was perfect wasn't he but now we want rid he's a twat all of a sudden?
No, he's the same guy on the same contract that we put in front of him - so who's at fault eh?
