Definitely. You consider Liverpool are looking for 20mill for Carroll, its a joke he's going for so little. I'd simply bring Ade into the office, tell him he was lucky to get the 170k deal and that he's unlikely to see those numbers again with FFP.
Explain that he needs to lower demands to say 100-120k a week and that we will give him a 3m bonus to leave or a 5m bonus if he looks for a move to another club that will pay a higher fee I.e PSG, Anzhi etc. If he lowered demands he mods himself a target for Italian top teams too. He's biting his nose to spite his face. He needs to be sat down and told that we need to work together to get him and us the best deals. If he doesn't play ball he can look forward to playing in the EDS and nothing more.
We are the employers and he's an employee, we can do what we want with him for the next 2 years. If he wants Spurs to play football I'm all for it. I just don't see why City have to bend over to do this. I am currently about to leave my place of work for a lesser wage elsewhere but where my prospects look better, he should do the same.
