I don't buy the accusations that he was lazy. I think he is a very good player, never understood the levels of criticism he got from many City fans for his performances and I don't think he was given a particularly fair crack at things at City. Having said all that we will never know exactly what went on behind the scenes that made him and Mancini fall out and I'm very happy to see him go in the sense that he is on big wages and clearly wouldn't play for us again anyway.
I do and I thought it was common knowledge tbh.

There we a few articles ages ago (when he was at Real Madrid) with his direct quotes mentioning a game where Mancini brought him on in injury time when we were a goal up to run the clock down a bit and apparently Adebayor told Mancini after the game to never disrespect him and use him in that way again. Ade said Mancini then said 'how can you speak to me like that, I'm the manager' or words to that effect and they hardly spoke since.

Of course you can compare it to Tevez and at least Adebayor actually went on but his mentality was clearly all for himself and he wasn't happy to be doing the team thing.

Re: Adebayor

Cannot be relied on. The day spurs beat us 1-0 at our place for fourth spot was the day his City career was as good as over. Ade was anonymous, Crouch was brilliant and won them the game. They got 4th we didn't

Bit of a bellend but another one I'm fairly impartial to as I don't really care, just glad to see him off the books

Re: Adebayor

dont really dislike adebayor and he's a good player. But i prefer aguero, dzeko, balotelli and tevez - so for that reason i'm happy he's leaving and he's off our wage bill

By that stage Adebayor was already clearly not at the forefront of Mancini's plans so I assumed there was more to it than that. In fact I assumed the 10 second sub appearance was Mancini responding to something that had already gone on between them as opposed to being the cause of the problems, if that makes sense.

Great news -him and Kolo, that's £270k a week right there.

Get Tevez and Dzeko off and we are suddenly £600k a week better off before we bring anyone in and £50m in the transfer kitty.

£31 million a year to pay 4 players. It is indeed a perverse world!
I never understand this bit. Why is it pervese?

Tom Cruise gets more than that for 3 months filming.

And the money is there to pay for it as well
