I wish him well. It's not his fault that a different manager came in and had other strikers in mind.

Ha took me a while to work that one out!! Abit early for the old brain cells!!

Re: Adebayor

I don't buy the accusations that he was lazy. I think he is a very good player, never understood the levels of criticism he got from many City fans for his performances and I don't think he was given a particularly fair crack at things at City. Having said all that we will never know exactly what went on behind the scenes that made him and Mancini fall out and I'm very happy to see him go in the sense that he is on big wages and clearly wouldn't play for us again anyway.

Re: Adebayor

If they're getting him for so cheap (I think more around 10-12 is fair even considering the wages) then I would have preferred a 1 year loan deal with a locked in purchase at the end, just so he can't play against us for another year.

Regarding Financial Fair Play, haven't the owners said they intend to eventually run City as a profitable investment and so even if other clubs are splashing out a bit and not treating it too seriously our owners will still want to wear away the notion that you can charge City and extra 25%?

Disinterested and showed a distinct lack of heart, amazing ego unable to be part pf a rotating squad system....always offside....did you watch the games he played in? He had plenty of chances but proved to be mentally weak and not the type of player we need :)

-- Fri Jul 13, 2012 9:22 am --

He will be shite for them this year now he has signed...

Except for the two games against us!!!

And Arsenal lol

Re: Adebayor

He was never the same for us after the tragedy when he was away at the ACON. Understandably so, but we couldn't carry passengers and the manager decided to go with someone else. This he couldn't take and he started acting up.
A change of scene was best for all concerned
