Agent Fees - City 2nd in the PL - 1/2/20 - 1/2/21 - £30,174,615

It's not just the new signings, there's been contract renewals etc as well which would have incurred agent's fees. Agree though the money they're getting paid is utterly ridiculous.
There were no City contract extension between Feb 20 and Feb 21 I believe.

Fernandinho signed year extension in Jan 20. Walker, Gundogan, Zinchenko extensions were all in 2019 summer.

Torres cost £20m yet his agent got £10m. Absolutely crazy.

Im on the side of the agent here
Thought they were scum till i watched an interview with crouchy!

Lately players are ditching their agents.

Why give some fat f*** with a big gob £10mill for doing something you can do yourself?

Even if you sell yourself a little short during the negotiations, it won't cost you £10mill.

That could pay for all the normal season tickets.
I've said for years that City could very easily afford to let fans in for free and still make a fortune on food, drinks etc. It seems from the amounts paid to agents that most other 'top' PL clubs could do exactly the same ifthey stopped paying leeches.
We're being taken for mugs when we pay for our season cards/match tickets... we all know it, and we keep doing it.

That's pretty much the Premier leagues normal gate receipts going out of the game entirely. Disgusting this has been allowed to escalate to this level. Agents don't even do anything particularly special, as proven by how often a players dad/brother/cousin/friend or in Harry Redknapp case, dog, with no previous history will act as their agent.

Should limit agent fees to a miniscule fraction of that figure, cap it at a generous 1% of any transfer fee and all other income comes from the player directly. Broker a £1 million deal and you get yourself a cool 10k in your pocket, broker a £100 million mega deal and you've just made yourself into a millionaire overnight.

The agent payments are a rip off but I don’t expect free tickets to City. I’d rather pay my own way and when I can’t afford to go I don’t. That said, I would welcome a season ticket price freeze or reduction for those fans this would really help.

Said this before, the ridiculous fees the agents are getting will be their downfall eventually. Clubs and players will realise that even if the agent gets them a better fee or contract by the time they've taken their slice there's less left than there would have been had they negotiated themselves or just stuck a solicitor on retainer.

These guys are the worst individuals in football. Look at the sums involved going out of the game. They are leeches. I had personal dealings with a very prominent agent, not football related, who was the most disgusting man I have ever met in my life.Used to get snippets from him about transfers, they were never right !! Would love to tell the story, but for sure would be sued.
