Aguero banned for three games (updated)

If Diego Costa, Phil Bardsley and all the other players who have committed unpunished red card offences this season, had endured identical media scrutiny and retrospective action, then you could argue we'd benefitted (although even that's contentious). However, the only player so punished this season is, surprise, surprise, Sergio Aguero, so I'm afraid it's a case of benefitted my fucking arse!

Again, what has happened before with other players is irrelevant. The only thing that is important is that one of our most important players acted like a **** and now faces a ban against our closest rivals. He was lucky to not be sent off, a decision that possibly saved us from losing points baring in mind the game situation at that time. If that isn't benefitting us then I don't know what is. And you're deluded if you think the ref wouldn't have sent him off had he seen the actual elbow.

Never mind what other players have got away with, Aguero is guilty as charged, you could see by the look on his face. The upside is that the scum are going to get rolled over anyway

The Costa challenge on that keeper on freeze-frame is horrific. How did he get away with that and yet Aguero got charged when the freeze frame shows no contact.
And the amazing thing was that I was watching that game and all the studio pundits agreed it was a genuine attempt to play the ball. It wasn't even close. There's something going on.

It isn't, it's as simple as that

Guardiola got it spot on.
It's out of our hands.
If he plays he plays.
If he doesn't we just adapt and get on with it.

Had he seen the elbow he'd have sent him off. Pretty simple really.
You're saying definite red then, not yellow, even assuming he did see it?

Irreconcilable differences I'm afraid on both counts. Imo, he saw it and chose not to take any action, so pretty simple really until the FA stuck their oar in. Agree to differ.
