Aguero - Golden Boot and Strike Rates

How many games did he play in before the turn of the year? A lot less than tj other two for sure.
If players are level then they should give it to the player with the less games played. Same with the keepers.

12. He scored in 3 from 12, he had a poor first half season.

Kane 25 from 3280 minutes
Vardy 24 from 3084 minutes
Aguero 24 from 2285 minutes.

I like the idea that,if a tie, it goes to strike rate.

To be fair the opening post illustrates why Aguero didn't get the PFA votes this season. He scored just 7 before the turn of the year and 5 of them were in one game, so he scored in just 3 league games until December 31st. Voting starts around February so go figure.

I like perpetuating the "it is a disgrace Aguero never made the team of the year" but TBF I agree with your point. It's hard to disagre with Vardy and Kane this year. Last year the vote was done in early April and Aguero had been injured and on his worst sequence of the season scoring in just 2 games out of 11. He was out of mind but then he went mad again until the end of the season.

Continuing the “love Aguero” theme, in 24 Premier League Seasons a strike rate of better than a goal per 100 minutes played in a season has only been achieved 9 times by players who have got more than 15 goals – 6 times by others and 3 times by Aguero consecutively in the last 3 seasons. Another staggering achievement if you consider who he has been up against.

We all know he is the best but worth reminding IMO at how much better than the rest he actually is.

Here is the table:
