Aguero v Bournemouth steward - allegation withdrawn

The sun should be banned from every football ground.
It's a disgusting pile of shit

I doubt that a single City fan actually puts their hand in their pocket and hands over their hard-earned for this stinking pile of shit.

Similarly, that no City fan on earth would buy the Times and/or subscribe to sky sports - ie anything from the same organisation that systematically promotes the rags whilst simultaneously wages a campaign of hatred against Raheem Sterling and, more broadly, Manchester City.

No City fans would be so fucking idiotic as to support such an organisation and their products right?

The sun has just been taken of the shelf at my local newsagent, i saw him removing the label and stuff, said nobody buys it so they are making the paper section smaller to get another fridge in. That goes for most red tops, only ones i see if i glance over are broadsheets. When i was a kid you saw arguments over the last paper on the shelf, not now.

I can't understand why anyone would buy it. What's the reading age needed to read it? 6? Says it's all. It's rather sad that a decent City journalist, Martin Blackburn, works there.

That's a good sign our kid. But as I'm sure you appreciate, I was being somewhat rhetorical as I suspect that we have a bunch of fucking hypocrites in our fan base who on the one hand cry about these wankers and their coverage of City whilst at the same time continue buying their shitty "newspapers", subscribe to their shitty sports channels and, in so doing, help pay the wages of the tossers responsible. It will only stop when there's a £'s impact.

Ahh yeah hehe, no idea why some do, masochism of sorts maybe :-D I stopped clicking or paying for stuff that i cba with a while ago now and feel less stress for it. Only bad news is news worthy and the sensationalize the crap out of anything, i can't stand it. I am also 2 years clean from talksport, i'll never relapse either.

Interesting contrast in the back pages today.

The Mail headline - City Fury Over Aguero Claims - sub head - shock allegation of assault withdrawn by Bournemouth after police probe.

Photo shows if anything the police acting aggressively towards Sergio and he looking restrained.

The Sun - Sergio Aggro - assault probe after injury time bedlam

And a photo of Sergio head to head with the policeman frozen to make it look like he is at least equally aggressive, plus an inset still of what seems in the way it is 'accidentally' frozen to show Aguero hand in the stewards face pushing him to the floor.

The Mail story opens with City being furious and Aguero being cleared of any blame in the first five lines.

The Sun does not even mention on the back page anywhere that the allegation was removed and he was found innocent. You have to look inside the paper to see any mention of that.

You cannot get a more blatant illustration of how the media can manipulate the news by such subtle ways.

This is how the agenda works and I think City should demand an explanation out of the Sun and ban them from the ground until they get one as it is pretty obvious they have made this story appear to anyone casually glancing at the paper that Aguero and City are at fault when they clearly know the opposite.

Someone has to stop this nonsense when it gets as openly biased as this.
Need to get our legal team onto this and keep the pressure on Bournemouth vis-a-vis the steward's malicious allegation. Hopefully, he now realises that making malicious and unfounded allegations is an extremely serious matter that won't go away by retracting the comments. Had this gone to court and the steward, as the main witness, continued with his wilful lies under oath, he would have risked being locked up for perjury. My guess is that he woke up this morning hoping it was a bad dream and then started to sweat profusely when he realised he did actually humiliate himself, his family and Bmouth. I have some sympathy for his family - being laughed at in the street and stared at in pubs and restaurants.

The overreaction and heavy handedness of the police and stewards to both the City players and fan's was a disgrace and could have caused a riot or serious injury. It looks worse the more I view it. They were pushing and pulling the players from the second they reached the fan's and in the melee created by this overreaction it then gave them carte blanche to get stuck into the fan's. We see such celebrations up and down the country every week without problems. It is a joyous occasion and is over in a minute or so if the players are allowed to share that joy with the fan's unimpaired. Even a half wit could see it for what it was but instead those morons treated it like it was a full on pitch invasion with malicious intent. I even saw a line of extra police bloody marching up.

We then have a copper pushing and arguing with Aguero on the pitch for fucks sake, I am surprised they don't shove him to the ground and handcuff him! On MOTD they said referee's said it was the letter of the law there was no choice but to book Sterling but we all know it isn't rigidly applied. It is a stupid law anyway and needs scrapping. Also if it was strictly applied then several other players should have been booked.

The club should make an official complaint to Bournemouth for their handling of the players and fan's in the incident but I'm not holding my breath! Also the lying steward needs sorting too along with the source who put it out to the world's media a allegation of assault had been made. If Bournemouth cannot handle big matches and crowds/occasions fuck off back to the championship!
Emergency meeting on Monday at Bmouth FC with their lawyers, senior steward and press officers. The CEO chairs the meeting and says 'I've been up all night taking phone calls about this shite. For fecks sake, just make all this go away and make it look good'.

I doubt it as it appears it will just die a death now as they have said the matter is closed. Personally after starting then exacerbating this situation with ridiculous accusations I don't believe that is their fucking call the arrogant tossers. It's over when WE as a club say it is over.

I don't think City will let it go, or Sergio. I think (probably hope more than anything) one of the two will go after the daily fail and the overly agressive steward. We still don't know what hapenned to the fan involved, and I've not seen it but fred being pulled back from the celebration has to be something we can't let go either.

Lets be honest, if we leave it as is, we're fucked at away games as fans. Every meathead steward (not normal ones) in the country is going to be looking at us "funny".

If the affected fans make a complaint to HSE along the lines of repeat of Hillsborough, had to spill onto pitch to avoid being crushed that would take some getting rid off
