Aguero??

All these people were calling people rags, idiots etc. when they've seen early declines of Zabaleta and even Silva. I was called all kind of names for Saying Zabaleta is finished earlier this season. "You're fucking idiot, he is just back from injury, there are few years left in him, blah-blah-blah.."

So, being brave enough to say something is seriously wrong with Kun as he's not performing half to his potential and for some decent time is definitely going to bring someone in serious shit with saint blues. Luckily, I don't give a flying fuck, I'm not on RAWK and if it turns to be like it then they won't have problems with my posts, I'll leave on my own.

BTW, I don't think Aguero is forcing a move or anything like that but I do fear and very seriously fear that he lost lot of his pace and explosivity and that it might not came ever again at levels we were all used at and that brought so much joy. If that is the case then we might see quite few games like last night as pace and explosivity was half of his game.

Good post. The reality is the people who have called others rags/idiots for saying what is pretty obvious, have seen it too, but they think that burying their head in a bucket of sand will make it all go away and the likes of Kun, Zab, Kompany etc will all suddenly go back to how they were 2 years ago. A bit sad in all honesty.

Bet your fun to sit next to on match days

I massively agree with you.

We just don't play to Aguero's strengths, or any of our players for that matter.

Aguero should be asked to run the channels have the ball put in behind or the ball taken to the touch line and pulled back. We've seen very little of either since about a 18 months now.

Sergio is 27 years old, give me a break. I understand the irreversible decline of many of our favourite players has become the topic of choice to whine about but I find it hard to believe that Kun, the most clinical striker in the history of the EPL, is a write-off at 27 years old. I would argue he hasn't event peaked yet. He's barely 3 years older than De Bruyne FFS and we treat Kevin like he's a child.

Yes, we have an aging core squad, but Aguero is far, farrrr from finished. Delivery has been terrible all season and he is watching our midfield players fall apart around him. He is incredibly frustrated and believes he has no choice but to take games onto his own shoulders, hence why he was sitting at the halfway line with 10 mins to go yesterday. This responsibility shouldnt be his and he is the last player I want to see the back of in this squad.

Aguero is not too old, I'll give you that. He is 28 though on June 7th so not really 27 though and I think it's some 2-3 years from peak. But years are not problem and what makes me worried, he shouldn't be in decline yet solely on years. It's injuries he had that worry me, both physical and mental impact of them. If his body is affected by them, than it is the problem because his athleticism (the pace, explosivity) are the big part of his game, the big part that splits him from other good strikers and defenders as well. If his mind is affected by them, it's similar outcome, maybe even worse. If he has mental blockade and fear of being injured the outcome is same and not good.

I certainly hope I am wrong on all fronts and this what I'm seeing from him is either tactics ruining his game (I don't believe in that as tactics doesn't stop him to try to come into positions, to run into space or to run by defenders as he used to, not that he is not trying but it's at times sad to see how ineffective it is) or that is temporary issue until he feels his body is good enough again to play his old game. If it is temporary than I hope it will stop as soon as possible because as much as he is not on bad side of years yet, he is surely not getting younger and slowly coming nearer to age when some parts of game like pace, explosivity and such would go down naturally.

Many great players adjust their games as they age and decline. It's the reason Stanley Mathews was still playing into his fifties. Some great players, like Yaya, struggle to do this because their game is so rooted in their youthful qualities, such as power and/or pace. Sergio, however, is not so reliant upon his pace or strength to define him as a footballer, and as such I expect he will manage any decline in his powers in an effective and efficient manner going forward.

Some people on this board display all the loyalty of a hyena.

Loyalty, hm.. if you're good enough you play, if you are not you don't. Simple as that. I've got absolutely fuck all personal issues with Aguero. And I absolutely appreciate what he has done for City in recent years but when he stops doing it I wouldn't care about loyalty.

You'll find that our next manager won't give a single fuck about loyalty too, if players would be able to perform on the way he wants them to perform, they'll play, if not they won't or will be sold. That's why he is successful, not because he is some romantic Romeo. He is the guy who sold Ronaldinho, one of the greatest and most exciting player that stepped on the football pitches. He's the guy who fucked off Ibrahimovic after one pretty good season and big money + Eto'o Barca paid for him.

You might be in for surprise if you expect him to cuddle balls of our popular players if they don't perform as he wants them to. And I don't think Aguero is performing as near enough recently that would make Pep wank.

I care about loyalty towards City players and you don't. I'm perfectly happy with my place in that line up.

In fairness, loyalty towards City players is something that you would find discernibly more difficult than me.

Well said!!

It's a wake up call for everyone at this club....including fans.

Pep is going to kick a lot of ass, his way or the highway.

I'm fine with that, it's absolutely your right to feel that way.
