Aguero's recovery?

I have a sneaky feeling that there is a bit of the RvP's going on with Sergio - saving himself for the World Cup. If he's waiting to be absolutely 100% fit before returning, this may mean he doesn't return this season. I can sort of understand it, taking his viewpoint that coming back at 95% may mean a recurrence and the possibility of missing the World Cup. However, lots of players take the field at less than 100% fitness and make a positive contribution. For me, City's title chances are infinitely more important than the World Cup, which I couldn't give a fuck about and therefore if there is some wrapping in cotton wool so not to effect fitness for the World Cup, I think the fans are being short changed.

He is a World Class player, we are better with him than without him and if he's even close to fitness, we need him on the pitch.

Sergio is the second best striker we have ever had besides tevez in my opinion and I want him fully fit for the run in .

Players don't pass up the opportunity to win League titles

Think what that goal meant to Kun. I reckon missing out on these League games is killing him.

I think it's yet another case of the headline not matching the story.
What he's actually said is he's not rushing back because he'll miss the rest of the PL season and the WC
if he comes back too soon and breaks down. This has been twisted to imply he couldn't care less about
the PL season, which he clearly does and that the WC is his sole priority which it isn't. Like Kompany
he's previously rushed back too soon and broken down. The last time Kompany came back the club
was extra cautious on when to bring him back. It's a none story apart from the fact is raises doubts
over whether he will be ready to start at Anfield.

Perhaps all of these niggly injuries he's been getting have been because he's been returning too quickly?

I don't believe that Aguero would not want to play when he's fit.

Disappointing to read Aguero seems unprepared to risk anything for City and looks mainly concerned about being fit for Argentina in the World Cup. If fit he should play for City, not hedge his bets thinking maybe if I leave if for a week or 2 it will be better for the national team. We need him now if fit, or maybe we should ask Kompany, Zabaleta, Silva and Joe Hart etc to rest so they do not injure themselves for the World Cup. Isn't Silva playing despite a slight ankle injury ?

This is probably why often supporters when naming\thinking of the clubs great players\favourite players of all time put true greats such as Colin Bell, Mike Doyle, Alan Oakes, Franny Lee, Mike Summerbee, Neil Young, Frank Swift, Bert Trautmann, Roy Paul , Sam Cowan, Roy Clarke, and the fighters like Paul Dickov, Andy Morrison, Shaun Goater etc ahead of some of the more recent and probably technically more gifted players. This is why Carlos Tevez will never really be considered a true blue hero after his antics and disrespect for the club.

We want players who will give everything for the team irrespective and not just when it suits.

Wow, its amazing how some fans can turn on one of our absolute best players just because he has said something in the media thats being twisted to suit a particular stance.

He has been blighted by injuries all season. He broke down at Barca after being rushed back, so naturally any player would want to be cautious and ensure he is fully fit before playing. He did not say he didn't want to play for City, he said he wanted to play in the PL and WC fully fit. Next people will be saying we should sell him, oh wait, people are already saying that.
