If people think Sergio would prioritise the World Cup over playing for City they don't have a clue. This is a player who could go to any club in the world he fancied, yet he stays with us. He puts his body on the line time and time again and always gives 100%, it isn't in his nature to pick and choose when to compete. If there is a major trophy up for grabs you can guarentee every single player in our squad will be desperate to win it. Anything can happen in tournament football, it is a privalege to be involved in a World Cup but if you play the game worrying about being injured then you wont get very far. From our point of view it makes no sense to rush him back if it means he gets injured again. Get him 100% fit and raring to go. We did that when we brought him back after the first major injury this season and he was on fire - his performance at Spurs before he went off injured was unbelievable. His power, movement, pace - he was unplayable.
