Aguero's recovery?

If people think Sergio would prioritise the World Cup over playing for City they don't have a clue. This is a player who could go to any club in the world he fancied, yet he stays with us. He puts his body on the line time and time again and always gives 100%, it isn't in his nature to pick and choose when to compete. If there is a major trophy up for grabs you can guarentee every single player in our squad will be desperate to win it. Anything can happen in tournament football, it is a privalege to be involved in a World Cup but if you play the game worrying about being injured then you wont get very far. From our point of view it makes no sense to rush him back if it means he gets injured again. Get him 100% fit and raring to go. We did that when we brought him back after the first major injury this season and he was on fire - his performance at Spurs before he went off injured was unbelievable. His power, movement, pace - he was unplayable.

So your employed by your boss to type. You break your nail while typing, you take a sick leave, weeks l8r you run to the press and tell them you don't mind staying back at home b/cos you have a party you'll like to attend and you'd want your nails to be super hot, so you won't be able to work. Point is kun can't be fit and refuse to play ! He's a class act !!

Hmmm so maybe he's not fit?

Disappointing to read Aguero seems unprepared to risk anything for City and looks mainly concerned about being fit for Argentina in the World Cup. If fit he should play for City, not hedge his bets thinking maybe if I leave if for a week or 2 it will be better for the national team. We need him now if fit, or maybe we should ask Kompany, Zabaleta, Silva and Joe Hart etc to rest so they do not injure themselves for the World Cup. Isn't Silva playing despite a slight ankle injury ?

This is probably why often supporters when naming\thinking of the clubs great players\favourite players of all time put true greats such as Colin Bell, Mike Doyle, Alan Oakes, Franny Lee, Mike Summerbee, Neil Young, Frank Swift, Bert Trautmann, Roy Paul , Sam Cowan, Roy Clarke, and the fighters like Paul Dickov, Andy Morrison, Shaun Goater etc ahead of some of the more recent and probably technically more gifted players. This is why Carlos Tevez will never really be considered a true blue hero after his antics and disrespect for the club.

We want players who will give everything for the team irrespective and not just when it suits.

Stunning post, if you actually are a City fan you should hang your head in shame, have you not watched him week in week out?

No it isn't. It's just another game that we can win without Sergio Aguero.

We're not a one man team.

He's not the Messiah...

How many forwards could pull off that goal against Liverpool last year?

14

That's a very assured answer....now name them! :)

Aguero needs to be back only when 100% fit. Only if the player himself feels it's time to restart, and if he is fully fit, he will come back like he hasn't missed a match. However last time he came back from injury he was clearly pushed and not fully fit. And it showed as he was pretty useless tbh.

I do hope to see him back before we play Liverpool and therefore he needs a few minutes vs Southampton.

Aguero quotes around yesterday from a pre recorded interview he did last week. He's made good progress in the meantime. #mcfc

Blackburn goes on say he trained normally yesterday, but that it's too early to tell if he can play at the weekend. Thinks he has a good chance of playing against Liverpool though.

Difficult to say how reliable he is, but he seems to get fed some stuff from the club.

Definitely seems to be on good terms with the club, not very regular updates but whatever he tweets is usually accurate and usually direct from the club

Not meaning to offend Sergio or anyone , just think he can be so key to us winning this League and if he has trained without issue this week then he should play v Southampton. If he still has a problem then obviously he should not play, but he should not be thinking about the World Cup until after Citys' last game. Once that is done then think about playing for Argentina. All players at present at the club should only have their minds on the next City game.

Players can get injuries at any time, its as much down to luck as anything. If fit play and think only of Citys' title push for now.

Every next game is the key game from now on in as we are now in the end game of the Title chase. Lose one more game and that may well be challenge over before Aguero may return.
