Whoever we play against, home or away, every game we play in the Champions League seems to pan out exactly the same. The other team moves the ball really quickly and maintains a very high tempo, good movement off the ball and get in our faces when we're in possession, and we always do the opposite and look really slow.

It doesn't help that every team we play against seems to have the game of their lives against us, but we only have ourselves to blame really. Even if we win tonight we still have a hell of a lot to learn at this level.

We might be better off sticking Kolarov in front of Clichy to support the left side.

Got away extremely lightly there - don't deserve to be level.

Defending about 10 yards too deep all the time - makes it far too easy for them to get out from defence and play through midfield. And when we get it, they press high up,our movement is crap, and we end up shunting it around at the back for a minute or so before going back to Hart, who then thumps it upfield and we lose it 95% time - so frustrating.

Looking pretty clueless at the moment, to be honest - let's hope we find a way of changing it quickly.

Pretty average display so far. Yaya looks like he's injured the way he's playing.

Dortmund/Real will get all 6 points against Ajax no question about that.

That is the basic in this group. We better get these points too.

Our play is boring, slow, weak. Simply weak. Hoof it to nobody, they come with with fast, good passing. Then we get it back and hoof it. Our goal came from a situation when we didnt hoof, Richards found Milner and then he found Nasri.

We have Yaya/Barry there in middle but it is like they dont do their job. They dont match the defense with attack. They dont give any balls to the attackers. Not even to Nasri basically. Lescott/Kompany's long balls are horrible anyway. 9 out of 10 it goes to places where City player was only 5 mintues ago at best.

Some pace, some passing would be a big ask from this squad maybe. Ajax can do it why we cant?

Definitely not learned much from our debut CL campaign unlike Dortmund. Ajax are this year's Villarreal but better and are better than us so far despite having sold three of their best players.
